In an exclusive first look at the upcoming Peacock Pride Special “Miley Cyrus Presents Stand By You,” Miley is belting out a passionate performance of the fan- favorite song “My Heart Beats For Love,” which was the final track on her 2010 album “Can’t Be Tamed.”
Cyrus told Anthony Allen Ramos, GLAAD’s Head of Talent, why it was so important for her to make this special as a member of the LGBTQ community. “My vision for the STAND BY YOU concert special was to really reflect the LGBTQ community on the stage. It was my honor, it was my privilege to stand there and to represent an entire community, and I wanted to make sure I served it justice, which is what we demand!”
The Pride special, which will be available to stream on Peacock starting Friday, June 25, features Cyrus onstage with many special guests including country music powerhouses Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Mickey Guyton and Orville Peck.
The hour-long concert event, filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, features the multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter and trailblazer performing an array of her hits such as “The Climb” and “Party in the U.S.A.” and putting her creative spin on beloved classics, including Cher’s “Believe,” Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors,” Pat Benatar’s “We Belong,” ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” and a special Madonna medley featuring “Music,” “Express Yourself,” and “Like A Prayer” all in the spirit of PRIDE.
