GLAAD is heading to Toronto, Canada for this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), now in its 51st year.
The inaugural TIFF: The Market will run from September 10-16, 2026 serving as a major B2B content hub alongside the fest (September 10-20, 2026). Full film and events lineup here.

- The Inside Out Queer Brunch. September 13, 2026. A festival fixture convening 2SLGBTQ+ creatives and executives. Invite only.
- The 5th annual Trans Filmmakers Summit (TFS) presented by the Trans Film Mentorship Program in partnership with Spindle Films Foundation. September 13, 2026. The event will feature a juried short film competition and Barrier Breaker Award presentation. Past recipients: Zackary Drucker (2025), Nava Mau (2024), Bilal Baig (2023), TS Madison (2022).
- Access Canada Summit Powered by The Hollywood Reporter. September 14-16, 2026. Presented by Canada Media Fund, Future Queer Stories: Building the Next Era of Screen Representation on September 15. Panelists include producer Alex Schmider, Senior Director of Entertainment at GLAAD, Red Queen Productions’ Justine Pimlott, Gay Agenda’s Michelle Mama, and Lion Pictures’ Damon D’Oliveira with moderator Mathieu Chantelois, Executive Vice President, Communications, Strategy and Public Affairs at Canada Media Fund.
