The moment is now. The future is femme. And Xunami Muse is leading the charge.
Fresh off a dazzling return to the RuPaul’s Drag Race main stage for Season 17’s finale and the release of her full-length debut album NDA: New Drag Age, the Panamanian-American star makes a thunderous statement with the release of her latest music video: “MUVA.” Visually rich, fashion-forward, and dripping in queer excellence, “MUVA” isn’t just a song — it’s a declaration of legacy, identity, and power. And it firmly places Xunami Muse among the new vanguard of drag pop royalty.
Directed by creative powerhouse Je’Vel, the “MUVA” music video is a high-glam homage to fashion and femme authority, with clear nods to The Devil Wears Prada and America’s Next Top Model. A cinematic spectacle set during a pressure-cooker Brooklyn photoshoot, the visual stars Xunami Muse as herself and Drag Race royalty Shea Couleé as Miranda — a high-fashion consultant who channels Miranda Priestly with biting perfection. Between blinding camera flashes and rapid outfit changes, the video builds to a finale that sees Xunami emerge in a gleaming gold number that would slay any global runway.

From the very first beat, “MUVA” delivers. The track is a pulsing, high-energy anthem where Xunami alternates between a silky-smooth vocal delivery and sharp-tongued rap bars, declaring:
“She is her / she is muva / I am her / I am muva.”
It’s confident. It’s sexy. It’s revolutionary.
A Production Rooted in Queer Excellence
The video was crafted by an all-star queer creative team, including 3x Emmy & Webby-nominated cinematographer Jahmia Phillips and multi-disciplinary artist and trans activist Ianne Fields Stewart. The vision is clear: Muva is a celebration of drag as high art — where fashion is armor, and performance is political. Every frame is couture. Every angle is editorial. And every shot is a love letter to unapologetic femme power.
The synergy between Xunami and Shea Couleé is undeniable. In their scenes together, they serve face, attitude, and mentorship with just the right balance of seriousness and camp. Miranda (Shea) pushes Xu to level up — and she does. By the final cut, the transformation is complete. Xunami isn’t just “next” — she is now.

Fan reactions have already lit up social media, with one collaborator gushing, “Omg y’all look flawless 4 real. I’m crying no lie. Who is she? SHE IS MUVVVAAAAAA!” Both Xunami and Shea were a ki!” Indeed, MUVA is a moment of pure joy, style, and empowerment — a testament to the power of Black and Latinx queer creativity at its finest.
Who Is Xunami Muse?
Xunami Muse, born and raised in Panama and based in NYC, is no stranger to the spotlight. She first began her drag journey at NYC’s legendary Escuelita in 2018, and in just a few years, became a sought-after performer, model, and collection coordinator. Mentored by Season 13 Drag Race standout Kandy Muse, Xunami brought grace, humor, and an effortless edge to Season 16 of Drag Race, ultimately earning the title of Miss Congeniality alongside Sapphira Cristál.

Her drag name — “Xunami,” inspired by the unstoppable force of a tsunami, and “Muse,” a tribute to her drag mother — speaks to her superhero-level charisma and undeniable influence. Now with NDA: New Drag Age, she’s fully embracing her musical destiny.
Released April 25th, NDA features powerhouse collaborations with Kandy Muse, Aja, Mirage, and Morphine Love Dion. With tracks like “It’s Giving (Cunt)” and “A Storm Is Coming,” the album pulses with club-ready energy, cultural reverence, and lyrical sharpness. Executive produced by YawnyBlew (Grammy and NME-nominated) and Je’Vel, NDA is more than a debut — it’s a manifesto.
