Fans remember Trinity The Tuck from Ru Paul’s Drag Race season 9 and All Stars season 4 where she and Monét X Change were crowned the first ever double winners on the series. Now, Trinity has released a star-studded new album and book entitled, Trinity Ruins Christmas!
GLAAD’s Tony Morrison sat down with Trinity to talk about their exciting new project.
She reveals she took inspiration from The Grinch and is excited for fans “to listen to it from beginning to end because it literally tells a full story.” She explains that as you listen to the musical, you can read along with the story and enjoy the “adult” picture book.

It’s not lost on Trinity that their book is coming out in a time where books with LGBTQ themes and characters are being banned and censored all over the country. “I don’t understand, we’re in 2023,” she says.
“Throughout history, people who banned books, it never fared well for them in history, they were never the Triumph ones. They were never the people written in the positive light in our history books. And it will be the same in in this era going forward,” Trinity explains.
She goes on to warn people that, “We really have to pay attention to what’s going on and don’t allow these book bans because this is just one gateway to getting more rights taken away.”
So what can we do? Trinity is hopeful. “I do see a better future. I do think that overall, most Americans don’t want any of this. And we will get through this, we will. But we have to stay vigilant, we have to register to vote, and we have to actually vote.”

As we approach the holidays, Trinity knows that this isn’t always “the most wonderful time of the year” for everyone, especially the trans and nonbinary communities that are under attack right now. Trinity reminds them to “make sure you are celebrating with people who genuinely love and care about you.”
She reminds queer viewers that “chosen family can become just as important, if not more important” than blood relatives.
To close, she says to “make sure that you’re giving your time to those who love and truly support you, and show those people around you that you care about and that care about you, that love, because that’s really what the holidays are about.”
Trinity Ruins Christmas is available now to stream and purchase.
