“He came to Italy, moved into Dickie’s house. He just wouldn’t go away,” Dakota Fanning‘s character Marge Sherwood says about Ripley.
While staying in his home, Johnny Flynn who plays Dickie Greenleaf asks Ripley, “You like art, Tom? You’re in the right place.” Immediately after, Ripley is seen mimicking those exact words to himself in the mirror.
“Tom is one of those people who takes advantage of people,” Sherwood later states. “I don’t trust him. He’s a liar, it’s his profession.”
From fake identities and mysterious murders, Ripley is not a series you’re going to want to miss.
The series also features Eliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy, and John Malkovich and all episodes were directed and written by Steven Zaillian.
