Fans may remember singer Johnny Manuel from his inspiring run on season 12 of America’s Got Talent. Now, the incredible queer singer is back with an all new single called “Molotov.”
“Molotov,” which will be available for streaming September 1st, is a part of Manuel’s upcoming second EP, titled Blue, streaming on October 13th. In addition to the release of the single, which was written by Manuel, Aidan Laprete and Mischa Mandel and produced by Laprete, an accompanying music video is out now!
Manuel also spoke about the creative inspiration behind the video. “Sonically the directive was “celebratory yet aggressive”. For me the duality was essential, in order to match the emotion of the lyrical content, and Aidan (Laprete), as always, made it exactly what it needed to be. I think ultimately the live instruments really drove the point home, which were added later in the creative process at the suggestion of my creative team. I am endlessly proud of ‘Molotov’ and I’m so happy to have it out in the world.”
To celebrate Pride Month this year, Manuel released the debut single from Blue, “End of the Night.”
