In Hulu‘s new unscripted series, Vanderpump Villa, the titular Lisa Vanderpump welcomes audiences to Chateau Rosabelle, her fancy French estate which features a staff which serves as the cast of this docu-drama.
Each episode will have all the Vanderpump luxury, drama, romances, and debauchery we have grown to love. As the titular queen evaluates whether this is the team will make her “pop up” experience a permanent reality, there are some very moving moments. GLAAD is excited to share one of these touching moments in an exclusive clip that featuring Vanderpump speaking with the lovely Harlan, a Villa guest who is trans and is about to have her Butterfly Rebirth Party.
“I always thought of my life as a man and it was just kind of unbearable because that makes no sense,” Harlan tells Vanderpump in the clip. “That’s not me. That’s not who I am… and that’s what really made me come out.”
Vanderpump says in the clip, “I don’t think anyone really realizes the extraordinary journey that some people have to take just to live their authentic life.”
Vanderpump’s hand-picked Villa staff includes Stephen Alsvig (“Events Coordinator”), Anthony Bar (“Executive Chef”), Marciano Brunette (“Lead Server”), Caroline Byl (“Sous Chef”), Grace Cottrell (“Housekeeper”), Priscila Ferrari (“Server”), Hannah Fouch (“Server”), Eric Funderwhite (“Chateau Manager”), Telly Hall (“Mixologist”), Emily Kovacs (“Housekeeper”), Andre Mitchell (“Mixologist”), and Gabriella Sanon (“Events Coordinator”)
Appropriately, Lisa Vanderpump is the executive producer of the series under her Villa Rosa production banner. Bunim/Murray Productions and Entertainment 360 also serve as producers
Hulu will debut the first three episodes of Vanderpump Villa on April 1.
