The Television Academy is set to launch ‘Televerse,’ its first foray into the festival world.
Televerse will run from August 14 through August 16 in Los Angeles, right before the final-round of Emmy voting takes place. The event will include panels, an immersive event space showcasing TV production, reunions and retrospectives, and the first time officially sanctioned For Your Consideration (FYC) events will highlight specific Emmy nominees.
According to the Television Academy, “Televerse is an immersive festival experience for both industry insiders and fans of television from Aug. 14-16, 2025, at the JW Marriott at L.A. LIVE. Televerse offers Academy members, industry insiders and fans unprecedented access to today’s top creators, storytellers and stars along with dynamic panels featuring this year’s Emmy-nominated programs and behind-the-scenes trade secrets of popular shows.”

Queer as Folk: 25th Anniversary Reunion (Panel); 25 years after the premiere of Showtime’s series, the creators and cast reunite to share their experiences taking part in the series, revisit memorable moments, and discuss the lasting impact the show has had on LGBTQ stories and representation in the past decade. Panelists include: Daniel Lipman (Co-Creator), Ron Cowen (Co-Creator), Gale Harold, Peter Paige, Scott Lowell, Sharon Gless, Michelle Clunie, and Thea Gill with moderator Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief, Entertainment Weekly.
The full lineup also features a panel titled The State of Inclusion, which sets the stage for studio executives and industry practitioners championing inclusive media and elevating diversity, equity, and accessibility on and off the screen to share strategies on keeping inclusion relevant, success stories, and offering a glimpse into the future of this work with emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities. Among the panelists, September Hill (NAACP Hollywood Bureau), Diana Luna (NALIP), Habib Veera (MPAC Hollywood Bureau), Tiffany Chao (Gold House), Noam Dromi (Reboot Studios), Shoshannah Stern (Writer/Producer), and GLAAD’s Senior Director of Entertainment, Alex Schmider.
The programming concludes with the Television Academy Hall of Game, inducting six television legends into the 27th class: Viola Davis, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and Henry Winkler.
