1.) Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire hits theaters today! It’s all hands on deck in this sequel, as the Spengler family returns to the iconic New York City firehouse, coming together with the original Ghostbusters for some serious ghost-busting. The film features non-binary actor Celeste O’Conner as Lucky Domingo. Catch Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in theaters now! Kinds of Kindness—Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone’s next film collaboration—is set for a theatrical release this summer. The anthology film’s plot is currently being kept under wraps, but audiences can look forward to seeing trans multi-hyphenate Hunter Schafer in the cast! In other film news, gay actors and comedians Bowen Yang and Paula Pell are joining the cast of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s upcoming The Cat in the Hat feature. This take on the Dr. Seuss classic sees The Cat facing his latest challenge: cheering a pair of siblings struggling with their move to a new town. The Cat in the Hat hits theaters March 6, 2026!

2.) The trailer for The Acolyte, Disney’s newest Star Wars series, has debuted! The mystery-thriller is stacked with queer talent, including gay and nonbinary actress Amandla Stenberg, gay actor Charlie Barnett, trans actress Abigail Thorn, and lesbian actress Rebecca Henderson. Lesbian showrunner Leslye Headland and trans writer Jen Richards are also involved with the series. Starting a century prior to Star Wars: Episode I, The Acolyte drops viewers in the final days of the High Republic era as a former Padawan comes together with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes—but a galaxy of secrets and dark-side powers await. 3.) FX released the trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate Part Two this week! The second half of the anthology horror drama’s 12th installment finds new horrors and dark secrets emerging as protagonist Anna desperately pursues motherhood. The series is co-created by gay director Ryan Murphy and features out actors Cara Delevingne, Denis O’Hare, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. Delicate Part Two will include the four final episodes, premiering one each Wednesday starting April 3 on FX and streaming the next day on Hulu. Check out the trailer below! 4.) Interview with the Vampire’s season two trailer is here! Based on Anne Rice’s novel, the series chronicles vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac’s life through interviews with journalist Daniel Molloy. In season one, Louis recounted his turbulent love affair with Lestat De Lioncourt, the vampire who turned him into one. The trailer for season two features a snippet of Daniel interviewing Louis and his current partner, Armand, as well as more violence and drama to come. The new season premieres May 12 on AMC and AMC+. Watch the trailer below!
5.) BBC has unveiled the trailer for Wreck season two! Season one saw gay character Jamie and his friends narrowly survive murder aboard Velorum’s Sacramentum ship, but season two of the horror comedy is back with more violence and queerness as they attend Velorum’s exclusive millionaire “wellness” festival in an attempt to expose the company once and for all. Rosie (trans actress Miya Ocego) is among the returning characters, with new faces like the villainous Jean (non-binary theater star Sam Buttery) joining the action as well. Wreck season two premieres March 26 on BBC Three on TV and BBC iPlayer. See the trailer below!
6.) Heartstopper’s highly anticipated third season will premiere in October! The series follows the heartwarming romance between gay teen Charlie and his bisexual boyfriend Nick—played respectively by out actors Joe Locke and Kit Connor. Other favorite returning LGBTQ characters include Elle (trans actress Yasmin Finney), Isaac (out actor Tobie Donovan), and lesbian couple Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (out actor Kizzy Edgell). Season three will see the friends continue to navigate the joys and struggles of adolescence—from mental health challenges to sex to university choices. 7.) Lesbian pop star Reneé Rapp is set to appear on beloved children’s show Sesame Street! The singer (and recent GLAAD Award winner) shared an Instagram photo this week of her cuddling with Elmo on the set. You can look forward to seeing this incredible duo together in an episode of Sesame Street season 55 this fall!

8.) Queer pop artist Xana’s “Homewrecking Era” is out now! The new track is from her upcoming sophomore album The Sex Was Good Until It Wasn’t, dropping May 10. Out pop experimentalist Angélica Garcia also released a new song, “Color De Dolor,” and announced their new album, Gemelo, set to be released June 7. In more queer music news, Logan Lynn announced his album SOFTCORE, due out June 7, and shared lead single and Bill Callahan (Smog) cover “To Be Of Use”; Priyanka—2020 winner of Canada’s Drag Race and one of the upcoming hosts for HBO’s We’re Here—dropped the first single off her upcoming album, “No New Friends”; and girl in red released her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, “You Need Me Now?” Also, check out queer pop-star Chappell Roan’s iconic performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk below!
9.) Queer icon Lady Gaga announced one of her popular Las Vegas “Jazz & Piano” residencies for Summer 2024! The residency will be eight shows, running from June 19 through July 6. Gaga will be singing a mix of her own hits, music from the Great American songbook, and songs off of Love for Sale, her recent jazz album of Cole Porter tunes. Get tickets starting tomorrow, March 23 at 10am PT! In other residency news, gay actor and singer-songwriter Ben Platt will be performing his original music at an 18-show concert residency at Broadway’s Palace Theatre this summer. The residency, entitled Ben Platt Live At The Palace, coincides with the release of his third studio album Honeymind (due out May 31) and will extend from May 28 through June 15.

10.) Trans actor Elliot Page has joined virtual reality-based adaptation of Hugh Ryan’s book, When Brooklyn Was Queer, as an executive producer. Ryan’s moving book delves into Brooklyn’s untold queer stories, bringing to the forefront a legacy of LGBTQ identity and victory. The VR series will continue this work with its immersive exploration of queer history, ranging from the mid-1850s through the present day!

11.) Tammy Faye is opening at Broadway’s Palace Theater this fall! The biographic musical features music by Elton John, lyrics by Jake Shears and a book by James Graham. It is based on the lives of televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, with gay actor Andrew Rannells reprising his Olivier-nominated performance as the former. Previews at the Palace will begin October 19, with an official opening night set for November 14!
