1.) NEON’s haunting psychological thriller Presence hit theaters today! Featuring Julia Fox, the Steven Sodenbergh pic flips the haunted house genre on its head. The film follows a fractured family from the perspective of a supernatural force who infiltrates their new home. Check out the trailer below and see Presence at a theater near you!
2.) A24 debuted the first trailer for horror pic Opus, starring out actors Ayo Edebiri and Murray Bartlett. In Mark Anthony Green’s first feature film, a young writer Ariel (Edebiri) is invited to the remote compound of Moretti (John Malkovich), a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared three decades earlier. Surrounded by the star’s cult following, Ariel finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan. Watch the trailer below and don’t miss Opus in theaters March 14!
3.) The long-awaited thriller Ponyboi is coming to U.S. theaters this summer! An adaptation of GLAAD Media Award-winning filmmaker River Gallo’s 2019 short of the same name, the film unfolds over the course of Valentine’s Day, following a young intersex sex worker, Ponyboi (Gallo), as a drug deal goes wrong. With the help of a mysterious cowboy, Bruce (Murray Bartlett), Ponyboi embarks on a quest for freedom while confronting their past. Catch Ponyboi in theaters June 27 or on digital and VOD services in July!

4.) Midas Man, the highly-anticipated biopic of famed music manager Brian Epstein, is now available on Olyn! Widely hailed as the mastermind behind The Beatles’ meteoric rise — the film follows Epstein, a gay man in the UK at a time when it was illegal, and a Jewish man in the aftermath of the Holocaust, as he navigates a whirlwind of unprecedented fame, cultural revolution, and personal demons. This isn’t just a story about music — it’s about the universal human experience: the search for love, identity, and the strength to dream in the face of adversity. 5.) Colman Domingo joined the cast of Dead Man’s Wire, Gus Van Sant’s upcoming hostage thriller! Based on a true story, the film follows Tony Kirtsis, who took Indianapolis mortgage broker Dick Hall hostage in his office in 1977. In other casting news, Amandla Stenberg is set to star in the film adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone. The film, based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel, follows Zelie (Thuso Mbedu), who embarks on a journey to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people by forming an alliance with the King’s daughter, Princess Amari (Stenberg) and son, Prince Inan (Damson Idris). 6.) Kelly Marie Tran is set to topline Kodak SuperXX, an indie psychological thriller. The pic follows Linh (Tran), a quiet woman whose solitary life as a darkroom developer takes a paranoid turn when she becomes entangled with a mysterious stranger whose photographs reveal a dark secret. 7.) The eagerly-anticipated trailer for the third season of Yellowjackets arrived this week! In the new season of the GLAAD Media Award-winning psychological thriller, the Yellowjackets continue to fight for survival after a brutal winter in The Wilderness. In the present day, the survivors are still reeling from a death and are forced to uncover secrets they thought were buried forever. Ring in the day of love with the first first two episodes streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime February 14 before its linear Showtime debut on February 16!
8.) Paramount+ unveiled the official trailer for the sophomore season of School Spirits. The supernatural drama follows Maddie, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance. In the upcoming season, Maddie is still trapped in the high school and must work together with her friends in the spirit and living worlds—including gay ghost Charley (gay actor Nick Pugliese)—to find a way back before it’s too late. 9.) Netflix announced the release date for Running Point, an upcoming basketball comedy! The ten-episode series centers on Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson), who is unexpectedly appointed head of the family business as President of the Los Angeles Waves. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla must prove to her skeptical brothers that she is the right fit for the job, including Sandy Gordon (Drew Tarver), the chief financial officer of the Waves who keeps his boyfriend, Charlie (Scott Evans), a secret from the rest of the family. Stream Running Point on Netflix February 27!

10.) In more release date news, Tubi slotted February 6 for the premiere of The Z-Suite, its first in-house, live-action comedy series. Starring Nico Santos, the show is set at a boutique New York ad agency where generational divides see the established C-Suite and rising Gen Z employees collide. 11.) ABC officially renewed Abbott Elementary for a fifth season! The GLAAD Media Award-nominated workplace comedy celebrates our school system’s unsung heroes and public servants, spotlighting a group of dedicated Philadelphia educators that includes the awkward yet beloved gay history teacher Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti). Catch new episodes Wednesdays at 9:30 pm ET/PT on ABC or stream the following day on Hulu. In other news, HBO renewed bisexual filmmaker Mike White’s drama series The White Lotus for a fourth run. Tune in to the season three premiere on February 16!
