1.) A24’s Opus hits theaters today! The horror pic follows a young writer, Ariel (Ayo Edebiri), who is invited to the remote compound of Moretti (John Malkovich), a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared three decades earlier. Surrounded by the star’s cult following, Ariel finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan. Watch the trailer below and catch Opus at a theater near you!
2.) Wayfarer Studios dropped the first trailer for rom-com A Nice Indian Boy, starring out actors Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff! In Roshan Sethi’s third feature, Naveen (Soni), a soft spoken doctor, finally brings his charming white-artist boyfriend Jay (Groff) home to meet his traditional Indian family. Despite facing uncomfortable truths about their own ideas of love and marriage, the family attempts to plan the big Indian wedding of Naveen and Jay’s dreams. 3.) Indie distribution company Entertainment Squad boarded the feature adaptation of the short Play It Again. In the queer rom-com, a daydreamer navigates the complexities of confessing her love to her best friend during a family gathering. The pic is set for a 2026 release with casting news expected soon!

4.) Chloë Grace Moretz is set to lead serial-killer thriller The Edge of Normal. Based on Carla Norton’s novel of the same name, the film follows Reeve LeCalire, who is still haunted from being held captive as a teen. When her psychiatrist asks her to mentor a newly rescued survivor, Reeve is pulled into a chilling game of cat-and-mouse that threatens to drag her back into the nightmare she barely escaped. In more casting news, Wicked powerhouse Cynthia Erivo is starring in Lionsgate’s upcoming film Karoshi, which is set to begin production in June. 5.) Max shared the official trailer for the highly-anticipated sophomore season of The Last of Us. Based on the GLAAD Media Award-winning video game The Last of Us Part II, the season picks up five years after the events of season one, introducing Dina (Isabela Merced), a romantic interest of Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey). Watch the trailer below and tune in to the season premiere April 13 on HBO or Max!
6.) In other Max news, the streamer debuted the trailer for the fourth season of the GLAAD Media Award-winning comedy Hacks. The 10-episode season follows the tug-of-war between Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) as they work to get their late night show up and running amid rising tensions. Alongside returning LGBTQ stars—Einbinder, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, Poppy Liu, Johnny Sibilly and Dan Bucatinky—the season introduces Robby Hoffman in a guest starring role. 7.) Peacock shared the official teaser for Poker Face season two, providing a first look at new cast members including out stars Cynthia Erivo and Taylor Schilling! In the season, human lie detector Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) is back on the run in her 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, crossing paths with a slew of LGBTQ quest stars, including Sherry Cola, Patti Harrison and Alia Shawkat. 8.) Disney gave a pilot order to out High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle’s supernatural dramedy Coven Academy (working title). The single-camera series centers on a coven of teenage witches-in-training who must protect their town from a looming threat. Keep an eye out for more information!

9.) Netflix renewed Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black for a second season, featuring out actor Terrell Carter! The series follows the interconnected lives of Kimmie, who struggles to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory, whose powerful, wealthy and dysfunctional family is behind a cosmetic empire and a devious trafficking scheme. 10.) GLAAD board member and multihyphenate Frankie Grande shared the single and music video “Rhythm of Love” from his upcoming debut album, due out this summer! In more music news, Los Angeles’ heavenly harmonic trio Trousdale dropped the single “Over and Over,” off their forthcoming album Growing Pains, arriving April 11. Watch the music video below! Indie pop singer MARIS also released a new single with Caroline Kingsbury “Give Me A Sign;” catch MARIS on tour with Maude Latour in a city near you. Additionally, Lil Nas X debuted the single “Hotbox” and Lucy Dacus released the single “Talk.” Finally, Chappell Roan dropped her highly anticipated country single “The Giver!”
