1.) The official trailer for Wicked is finally here! The untold story of the Witches of Oz stars queer powerhouse Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman who has yet to discover her true power, alongside Ariana Grande as Gilda, a popular and privileged young woman who has yet to discover her true heart. The two meet as students at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz and forge an unlikely but profound friendship, ultimately fulfilling their destinies as Gilda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. The film’s all-star ensemble includes out actors Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, a roguish and carefree prince, and Bowen Yang as ShenShen, a conniving compatriot. 2.) The first trailer for Unicorns has arrived! The film centers on a powerful story of forbidden love and colliding cultures when mechanic and single father Luke meets queer South Asian drag queen Aysha. Unable to deny the spark between them, the pair embark on an unexpected journey of transformation, questioning their identities and confronting their truths. Unicorns stars Bohemian Rhapsody breakout Ben Hardy and rising artist Jason Patel in his feature film debut. Stay tuned for United States distribution information and check out the trailer below!
3.) Plan B Entertainment acquired Molly Manning Walker’s debut feature film How To Have Sex. Though plot details of the coming-of-age drama remain under wraps, How to Have Sex depicts the agonies and ecstasies of young adulthood. The acclaimed film won the Un Certain Regard Award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and the European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI at the 36th European Film Awards. 4.) The Yellowjackets are officially back in the wilderness! With a carousel of teaser photos, Showtime announced that the eagerly anticipated third season has started production. The GLAAD Media Award-winning psychological thriller follows a high school soccer team involved in a plane crash in 1996 and the aftermath of the accident years later. With a star-studded queer cast, the show features a number of queer characters, including Taissa, Van, Ben, and Simone. Check out the images below and get ready for a 2025 release!

5.) Mark your calendars for October 3 because all eight episodes of Heartstopper season 3 are coming to Netflix! Set to a clip of Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” from the freshly released album Hit Me Hard and Soft, Netflix’s date announcement showcases Charlie (gay actor Joe Locke) and Nick’s (bisexual actor Kit Connor) deepening relationship. According to genderfluid and asexual author Alie Oseman, the highly anticipated season matures alongside the Heartstopper teens, centering mental health, sex, university, ambitions, and more. 6.) HBO shared first-look photos of The Last of Us season two, debuting in 2025! Based on the Naughty Dog video game, the series takes place 20 years after modern civilization crumbles. Joel (Pedro Pascal) is hired to smuggle Ellie (nonbinary actor Bella Ramsey) out of an oppressive quarantine zone, which turns into a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the country and depend on each other for survival. 7.) Hulu dropped a teaser for the fourth season of Only Murders In the Building, returning to the small screen August 27! In the “scariest season yet,” the amateur podcasting trio head to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is prepared to make “Only Murders” into a feature film. As Charles, Oliver and Mabel race back to New York, they begin an even more epic journey—traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents. 8.) Raven-Symoné is executive producing and directing the upcoming sitcom Alice in the Palace, a spin-off of Disney’s recently wrapped series Raven’s Home. The show picks up when Alice, Raven’s young cousin, returns to England and reunites with Duchess Clementine, a young royal who looks exactly like her. In the process, Clementine gets a taste of the fun side of “normal”life, while Alice gets a taste of the finer side of “regal” life.

9.) Billie Eilish debuted her anticipated third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft; find tickets to the upcoming tour and watch the music video for hit single “Lunch” below! Pop singer-songwriter MARIS also released her new single “Julia Roberts.”
10.) In more music news, gay and nonbinary singer-songwriter Vincint dropped a new single “Another Lover,” featuring Adam Lambert. Additionally, Ben Platt released “Treehouse,” featuring lesbian Grammy-winner Brandy Clark, from upcoming album Honeymind, out May 31; watch the official audio video for “Treehouse” below and pre-save the album now!
