1.) Kraven the Hunter, the latest film in Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man spinoff cinematic universe, hit theaters today! Featuring queer Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, the pic tells the origin story of Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his father motivates him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared. Debose portrays Calypso, a voodoo priestess and Kraven’s love interest. Catch Kraven the Hunter at a theater near you!
2.) Out actors Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel are set to star in The Christophers. The upcoming dark comedy follows estranged children from a once-famous artist who hire a forger to complete his unfinished works so they can be discovered and sold after his death. 3.) Showtime dropped a first-look teaser of Yellowjackets season three! The GLAAD Media Award-winning psychological thriller follows a high school soccer team involved in a plane crash in 1996, chronicling their descent into madness while tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later. With a star-studded queer cast and characters, the highly-anticipated season picks up in the aftermath of the dramatic season two finale. Season three launches on February 14 with two new episodes streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime before its linear Showtime debut on February 16. Check out the teaser below!
4.) The official trailer for Harley Quinn season five has arrived! The new season takes power couple Harley (Kaley Cuoco) and Ivy (Lake Bell) to Metropolis—the home of all things Superman, Lois Lane, and the Daily Planet. Looking for a fresh start, Harley and Ivy discover that something sinister is at play and all is not what it seems. Watch the teaser below and don’t miss the season five premiere January 16 on Max!
5.) Apple TV+ debuted the trailer for Severance season two, premiering on the streamer January 17! The multi-Emmy Award-winning series follows a team of employees at Lumon Industries who have undergone a procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. The upcoming season reunites its original ensemble, including beloved gay characters Burt (Christopher Walken) and Irving (John Turturro), while welcoming new talent, such as bisexual actress Alia Shawkat. 6.) The official trailer for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 is here! Ringing in the New Year on January 3, 14 new queens compete for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and a cash prize of $200,000. This season ushers in a new twist: The Badonka Dunk Tank, offering queens immunity from elimination. The iconic guest judges for season 17 include Doechii, Sandra Bernhard, Hunter Schafer, Law Roach, Jerrod Carmichael, Adam Lambert and more! Catch the premiere of the GLAAD Media Award and Emmy Award-winning reality competition on MTV at 8pm ET and get a behind-the-scenes look at the backstage drama on RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked after the show.
7.) Netflix shared the trailer for the sophomore season of Castlevania: Nocturne, providing a first-look at queer characters Orlox and Mizrak. In the season, the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont, and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time. Orlox, who killed Richter’s mother years ago, must now decide whether he can stomach teaming up with his sworn enemy in order to stop vampiric world domination. Watch the epic second season on Netflix January 16!
8.) Halsey is set to serve as the creator, writer and executive producer of upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Bloodlust. While plot details remain under wraps, the dark comedy is currently in development with Ti West attached to direct. Keep an eye out for more information!

9.) ABC’s Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025 added out performers Reneé Rapp, Tinashe and Kesha to its lineup! This year, Rita Ora will return as co-host with Ryan Seacrest, who is marking his 20th year as host. Tune in to the 54th edition of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on December 31 live on ABC at 8pm EST or stream the show the following day on Hulu!
10.) Miley Cyrus debuted her new Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award-nominated song “Beautiful That Way,” which she recorded for the soundtrack of Gia Coppola’s film The Last Showgirl. In more music news, rising queer glimmer rock artist Vienna Vienna paid homage to one of his greatest influences, David Bowie, with a new cover of his track “John, I’m Only Dancing.” Finally, queer indie rock artist Camille Schmidt shared the new single “Stanley;” check out the official music video below!
