1) The film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical Kiss of the Spider Woman opens in theaters today. The film follows Valentin (Diego Luna), a political prisoner who becomes cellmates with Molina (out actor Tonatiuh), a gay man who is in prison and copes by escaping to fantasies featuring his favorite actress Ingid Luna (Jennifer Lopez). Kiss of the Spider Woman is in theaters now, get tickets here.
2) The newest film from out director Luca Guadadigno After the Hunt is out in theaters today. The film follows Yale professor Alma (Julia Roberts) whose world is shiften when a colleague faces assault allegations. The film also stars Ayo Edebiri as Alma’s protegee Maggie, and nonbinary actor Lío Mehiel as Maggie’s partner Alex. After the Hunt is in theaters now, get your tickets here.
3) Fairyland, a coming-of-age drama is out in theaters today. The film follows father and daughter Steve (Scoot McNairy) and Alysia (Emilia Jones) as they move to San Francisco so Steve can live openly as a gay man. The film follows Alysia growing up and what happens to their community when the AIDS crisis hits. Fairyland is out today, get tickets here!
4) Out actor Nathan Lane has been cast in Cut Off, a comedy starring Jonah Hill and Kristin Wiig as rich siblings, with Bette Midler and Lane as their parents. In further casting news, upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends from Amazon MGM Studios has added a slew of actors to their cast including trans comedian Patti Harrison. The plot details of the film are under wraps, but it stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. Out actor Ruby Cruz has been cast in upcoming film Souvenir, which follows two old friends who reunite over someone’s lost wallet.

5) A first trailer had been released for the upcoming HBO series from Rachel Sennott I Love LA. The cast includes out actor Jordan Firstman as gay characters Charlie, and out actress Quenlin Blackwell as a guest star. Watch the trailer below and catch I Love LA on HBO on November 2.
6) The trailer has been released for All’s Fair, the newest series from out producer Ryan Murphy. The show follows a firm of powerhouse female divorce lawyers, and the cast includes out stars Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts. The show premieres on Hulu on November 4.
7) The return of HBO’s The Comeback has expanded the cast, to include out actors John Early, Abbi Jacobson, Zane Phillips and more. The series, from out creator Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow, also already includes out actors Dan Bucatinsky and Tim Bagley in the cast.

8) Upcoming animated series Kevin on Prime Video has revealed its cast, which includes out star and creator Aubrey Plaza plus legendary queer filmmaker John Waters. The show follows a cat, Kevin, who is torn between his owners when they break up and ends up at a rescue shelter in Astoria.

9) Hallmark has announced the cast for the second season of reality competition show Finding Mr. Christmas, hosted by out star Jonathan Bennett. On the series, ten men compete to be the next Hallmark Christmas star. One of the new contestants is Robbie, who mentioned his partner, Kyle in his bio. Finding Mr. Christmas premieres Monday October 27 on Hallmark.
10) A new documentary series focusing on Alan Cumming’s gay bar Club Cumming is coming from Drag Race production company World of Wonder. The series will include queer performers Michelle Wynters, Brini Maxwell, Cunning Stunt, Jake Cornwell and Darry Dryden. It will premiere in 2026.
