1.) Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated Harley Quinn debut has arrived! Loosely based on DC Comics characters, Joker: Folie à Deux finds Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him. Catch the musical sequel in theaters today!
2.) From the producers of M3GAN comes the new supernatural horror pic House of Spoils, starring queer actors Ariana DeBose and Barbie Ferreira! The tense and sensuous film follows an ambitious chef who opens up her first restaurant where she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, crushing self-doubts and the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner. 3.) Greg Jardin’s buzzy festival hit It’s What’s Inside is streaming now on Netflix! Produced by husbands and creative partners Colman and Raúl Domingo from their company Edith Productions, the film follows a group of friends—including bisexual actress Madison Davenport as Beatrice—that gather for a pre-wedding party. The night slowly descends into an existential nightmare when a friend on the edge of the group surprises everyone and brings a mysterious game that stirs up long-hidden secrets, desires and grudges. 4.) Searchlight Pictures’ psychological thriller Hold Your Breath hit Hulu today! Set in 1930s Oklahoma amid the region’s horrific dust storms, Margaret (Sarah Paulson) is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family as she grieves a loss and desperately tries to protect her daughter. 5.) The New Yorker released the short documentary Seat 31! From trans director Kimberly Reed, the 15 minute film goes behind the scenes with Montana State Representative Zooey Zephyr as she makes international news fighting for gender-affirming healthcare. Expelled from the Montana House of Representatives, Zephyr makes a nearby bench her office and remains steadfast in her defense of trans lives as she makes a momentous decision in her own life. 6.) The documentary A Case For Love is available to stream! In a time of national chaos and lack of unity, this film examines the question of whether or not love, specifically—unselfish—love, is the solution to the extreme societal and political divide facing the world. Centering the teachings and writings of Bishop Michael Curry, the film team travels across the U.S. searching for people living their lives selflessly and interviews them, including Pete Buttigieg and other LGBTQ community members! 7.) Focus Features dropped the official trailer for Nosferatu, featuring nonbinary and queer actor Emma Corrin! The gothic horror film, based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula, is a tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her. 8.) Level Ground and Visitor Media have announced their upcoming documentary See You Tomorrow, centering on trans musician and octogenarian Beverly Glenn-Copeland. The doc will follow Glenn-Copeland and his wife and creative partner Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland as they perform a series of final concerts, navigate the implications of Beverly’s recent dementia diagnosis, co-write a memoir, collaborate on a children’s television show and more! 9.) FX’s beloved queer vampire roommates return in the official trailer for the final season of What We Do in the Shadow! The Emmy-nominated series documents the nightly exploits of Nandor, Lazlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their human friend Guillermo (queer actor Harvey Guillén). In the upcoming season, the vampires wake up their former roommate Jerry, enter the workforce, and attend a human dinner party—all while trying to find their place and purpose in the world. After briefly becoming a vampire, Guillermo is left questioning his role as a familiar and reevaluates his life. 10.) Netflix unveiled a teaser of the upcoming dark comedy series No Good Deed. From out Dead to Me creator Liz Feldman, the ensemble cast features queer actors Matt Rogers, Kate Moening, Abbi Jacobson, and Poppy Liu! The series follows three families all vying for the same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve their problems, including Jacobson and Liu as a couple. But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can turn into your worst nightmare. Watch the date announcement teaser below and stream No Good Deed December 12!
11.) In more Poppy Liu news, the actor joined the cast of Netflix’s limited series His & Hers, starring opposite out series lead Tessa Thompson. The seductive psychological thriller is based on Alice Feeney’s novel of the same name and follows Anna (Thompson), a journalist who lives in haunted reclusivity in the sweltering Atlanta heat. When she learns of a murder in her hometown, Anna is snapped back to life and pounces on the case. Lui plays Helen Wang, the headmistress at St. Hilary’s Academy who is a good friend of the victim and becomes increasingly irritated by Anna’s reporting. Keep an eye out for details as they arise!

12.) American Horror Stories is coming back this Huluween with out actors Dyllón Burnside, Jeff Hiller, Victor Garber, and more! The American Horror Story spinoff features a different horror story in each of its stand-alone episodes. Find the official trailer below and stream all five episodes on October 15!
13.) From the upcoming Red Hot Org album, TRAИƧA, Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Sam Smith released a new version of “Ever New,” a spiritual journey celebrating trans people featuring Sade Adu, Andre 3000, Clairo, Eileen Myles, Hunter Schafer, Lyra Pramuk, Moses Sumney and more! In more music news, the multidisciplinary artist and queer Boricua LEXXE shared her debut album A Haunted House, a captivating journey through the darker side of pop. Out singer Orla Gartland also released the song “Everybody Needs A Hero,” which tracks the journey of self-discovery and establishing independence within the confines of a long-term relationship. Finally, queer indie pop singer-songwriter Lindsey Rose Black dropped a new rendition of Troye Sivan’s “One Of Your Girls;” check out the music video!
