1.) Dark indie comedy Cora Bora hits theaters today! The film stars bisexual Hacks breakout Megan Stalter as the titular Cora, a struggling musician in an open relationship who makes a surprise trip to Portland to win back her girlfriend Justine, played by gay actress Jojo T. Gibbs. Upon arrival, Cora quickly realizes that it’s much more than her love life that needs salvaging. Watch the trailer below and catch Cora Bora in a theater near you!
2.) Riann Johnson has dropped a first-look image of Daniel Craig’s famed gay Southern detective Beniot Blanc in the anticipated treequal Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Though plot details of the Netflix pic remains under wraps, the Knives Out franchise centers on the investigations of Blanc and the new ensemble includes gay actor Andrew Scott. 3.) The four-part series Queer2Queer: Activism Through the Ages is out now! A collaboration by the Future Perfect Project and the CURED documentary team, Q2Q features powerful conversations between LGBTQ youth and elder activists, introducing viewers to a Stonewall veteran, the first out trans person to testify before the US Senate, and the creator of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, along with a new generation of vibrant and impassioned queer advocates. In each episode, two inspiring change-makers come together to share wisdom, personal stories and hopes for the future. Find the trailer below and watch all four episodes today!
4.) Queer comedian Mo Welch’s debut special Dad Jokes has arrived! The hybrid documentary comedy special explains Welch’s lifelong obsession with dad jokes as a way to process trauma, following her through Illinois while she prepares to meet up with her estranged father for the first time in almost 20 years. 5.) Netflix has released the official teaser for Japan’s first same-sex romance reality series The Boyfriend. In the show, the “Green Room” beach house welcomes nine men to find love as they live together and take turns working shifts at a peppermint green coffee truck, forging deep friendships and learning about themselves along the way. Hosted by drag queen Durian Lollobrigida, Yoshi Yokui, MEGUMI, Thelma Aoyama, Chiaki Horan, and more, The Boyfriend promises to deliver a rollercoaster of emotions; check out the teaser below!
6.) Las Encinas is opening its doors one last time on July 26! In the final season of Élite, the arrival of siblings Emilia and Hector Krawiez, leaders of the school’s alumni association, scatters chaos across campus. The pair represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas and it’s up to Omar to face them. Additional returning queer characters include Ivan, Joel, Sara and Nico and more. 7.) Fiancées Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird are executive producing an untitled docuseries that takes viewers behind-the-scenes into the lives of top female athletes on and off the field. The series will follow athletes from WNBA, NWSL, PWHL and more, introducing their families, wives, girlfriends, and partners. Stay tuned for more information!

8.) Kristen Stewart is making her small screen debut in The Challenger, a limited series in which she will play the iconic out astronaut and physicist Sally Ride. The show is based on the 2023 book The New Guys, which tells the story of NASA’s 1978 astronaut class, the first to not be entirely made up of white men. Keep an eye out for more details!

9.) In other limited series news, Hunter Schafer is set to star in the Prime Video series Blade Runner 2099. The show is a follow-up to the 2017 movie sequel Blade Runner 2049, which is based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. Though Schafer’s character details remain under wraps, she joins Euphoria co-star Eric Dane, starring opposite Michelle Yeoh!

10.) In honor of Juneteenth and Pride month, gay icon Billy Porter has shared the new single “Leap,” previewing the forthcoming Black Mona Lisa Vol. 2: The Cookout Sessions EP. In more music news, queer Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Camille Schmidt has unveiled her debut EP of folk-drenched indie pop songs Good Person. Walt Disco also dropped the new LP The Warping; watch The Making of The Warping film below! A new version of the beloved Red Hot + Free compilation has also been released, benefiting The Trevor Project, The Ally Coalition and SAGE! In addition, The Red Hot Organization, a not-for-profit dedicated to fighting AIDS through pop culture, has shared the single “Your Kinda Love.”
