On a recent appearance on the Dumb Blonde podcast with Bunnie XO, singer-songwriter Elle King bravely spoke out against her father’s anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.
King’s father, Rob Schneider is an actor and comedian with some very strong political views. From publicly boycotting the Olympics for its inclusion of drag queens in the opening ceremony to being booed off the stage at a charity event in Canada for his anti-trans, sexist, and homophobic jokes; King and Schneider do not see eye to eye.
While talking with Bunnie XO on her show, King revealed that her father, that so many remember from Saturday Night Live and movies like Grownups, is “just not nice.”

She talks about her frustration with her father constantly “talking sh*t about drag and anti-gay rights.” She says that, “I want to take this opportunity to say; I disagree. I do not agree with what he says.”
She goes on to say, “I believe in all forms of love and I just believe in anyone finding their happiness and their joy in whatever way, whatever capacity that is. There are no politics when it comes to love.”
She shares that throughout her life he would routinely forget her birthdays and even sent her to “fat camp” as a child. Watch the full episode of Dumb Blonde here.
