On Saturday, July 8th, a momentous occasion took place at the iconic Flamingo Las Vegas. Ru Paul’s Drag Race Live! celebrated its 500th show with an all-star cast of queens… including the one and only Ru Paul! This sold out show was a night to remember.
Taking the stage at this her-storic extravaganza were two of the show’s newest cast members and first international queens – Lawrence Chaney, the winner of Drag Race UK Season 2, who also served as the evening’s host, and Nicky Doll from Season 12 and host of Drag Race France. Joining them were Coco Montrese from Season 5 and All Stars Season 2; Daya Betty from Season 14; Derrick Barry from Season 8 and All Stars Season 5; and Kennedy Davenport from Season 7 and All Stars Season 3.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!, which is directed by RuPaul and award-winning choreographer and filmmaker Jamal Sims, takes everything you love about the Emmy Award winning reality series, and gives it to you live and in person. With a rotating cast of queens, each performance is just as visually stunning and jaw dropping as the last.
Despite being shut down just months after opening due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the rampant spread of hateful legislation trying to put a stop to performances like these, Ru Paul’s Drag Race Live! has continued to serve charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to everyone who walks through the door.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! performs Thursday through Monday at 9:30 p.m. with an additional 7 p.m. show on Friday. Tickets start at $49 and are available for purchase at https://www.ticketmaster.com/dragracevegas!
