Every year, Room to Grow hosts a fundraising gala to engage long-time advocates, new champions of the organization, and celebrity ambassadors to recognize the organization’s impact of partnering with nearly 6,000 families over the last 25 years, as well as raise the critical funds needed to grow programming in Boston, New York. At the gala, the non profit announced they would be expanding their work to the city of Chicago, with services launching and a family center opening in the winter of 2025.
To help bring awareness to Room to Grow’s mission of providing critical support to families raising babies born into low-income circumstances, the organization works with celebrity ambassadors like actress and founding board member Uma Thurman and this year’s “Champion of Change” honoree, Ali Krieger.
Ali Krieger is an out 2 time World Cup Champion, Olympian, ESPN analyst, and activist who’s work has shown unwavering commitment to helping families thrive and are true advocates for strong starts for children. Krieger was honored for her efforts to champion equity for families and advocacy for social justice.
