GLAAD Applauds FX’s Season 2 Renewal of ‘Pose’
Los Angeles, CA – GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, today applauded news that FX renewed television drama ‘Pose’ for a second season. The series made history with television's largest cast of transgender series regulars portraying transgender characters.
“Pose has introduced a new class of transgender talent in front of and behind the camera, whose voices are changing Hollywood for the better,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “Pose is a master class of storytelling that entertains and moves audiences by finally putting the beautiful diversity of the LGBTQ community front and center.”
Transgender actresses Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, and Hailie Sahar star in the show alongside out actor Billy Porter. Our Lady J and Janet Mock serve as writers and producers. Mock also directed last week’s episode. Trans director Silas Howard is a Co-Executive Producer. Pose was co-created by out writer Steven Canals and out producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
