BEANIE FELDSTEIN TO UNVEIL THOUGHT-PROVOKING “PROTECT THIS KID” CAMPAIGN LIVE IN TIMES SQUARE ON THURSDAY, APRIL 11th IN COLLABORATION WITH GLAAD & OGILVY
WHO: Showstopping out queer actress and performer, Beanie Feldstein, teams up with GLAAD and Ogilvy to launch “Protect This Kid” campaign in Times Square.
WHAT: Creative featuring interviews and childhood photos of Beanie Feldstein will debut on Time Square billboards, launching a vital and visual campaign offering a counter-narrative to harmful and false anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. The campaign also calls on LGBTQ people as well as allies to share photos as they younger selves using the hashtag #ProtectThisKid, and share their stories of growing up as an LGBTQ person, in a show of support and acceptance for LGBTQ youth.
“Protect This Kid” is comprised of short-form features of original interviews and childhood photos of out LGBTQ way-makers across media and entertainment including: Beanie Feldstein, Chris Mosier, Daniella Carter, Margaret Cho, River Gallo, Ryan “R.K.” Russell, Sherry Cola and Yvie Oddly. Video features with talent will release beginning the week of April 22nd via @protectthiskid across social media.
