36TH ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS HONORING CYNTHIA ERIVO PREMIERES ON HULU SATURDAY, APRIL 12TH
Los Angeles, CA – Friday, April 11, 2025 – GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, announced that the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, premieres on Hulu beginning Saturday, April 12th at 8pm ET/5pm PT. For the fifth consecutive year, Hulu returns as the official streaming destination, continuing its support of LGBTQ stories and storytellers. The GLAAD Media Awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues.
For the first time, GLAAD awarded all winners across 33 categories at the 36th GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, which was hosted by Michael Urie. Cynthia Erivo received the iconic Stephen F. Kolzak award and the ceremony includes appearances and iconic moments from Doechii, Lil Nas X, Maren Morris, Joshua Jackson, Dylan Efron, Nava Mau, Nico Santos, Cooper Koch, Hannah Einbinder, Patti LuPone and more. Tanner Adell and Jake Wesley Rogers both take the stage for special live music performances.

The 36th GLAAD Media Awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. Since its inception in 1990, the GLAAD Media Awards have grown to be the most visible annual LGBTQ awards show in the world, sending powerful messages of acceptance to audiences globally.
The 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards were presented by: Presenting Sponsor Hyundai Motor America; Major Sponsors Hornitos Tequila and Gilead Sciences, Inc. and Official Sponsors Delta Air Lines and Sony Music Group. After Party sponsored by Hyundai Motor America. Hulu returns as the official streaming destination for the 36th GLAAD Media Awards.
The nominees for the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards were published, released, or broadcast between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis served as Executive Producer of the 36th GLAAD Media Awards, alongside GLAAD’s Rich Ferraro and Anthony Allen Ramos. GLAAD’s Tony Morrison served as Supervising Producer and Jose Useche served as Producer. The ceremony was produced in partnership with STAMP Event Co. and Wendy Shanker serves as Headwriter.
