Queer pop sensation Chappell Roan is “HOT TO GO” ahead of the release of her debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.”
On August 11th, this “thrift store pop star” released her latest single “HOT TO GO” from the highly anticipated new album.
Roan shared on Instagram that “HOT TO GO” and its accompanying music video were inspired by her teenage dream to be a cheerleader.

“I wrote this song so I could live out my cheerleader fantasy!” Chappell says about the song. “I just wanted to make something simple and silly that I could do with the audience because I’m a huge fan of audience participation. Also, selfishly (and shamelessly) wanted to bounce around on stage singing a song about being hot.”

Fans can catch this unapologetically queer artist, who was named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of 2023, at dozens of upcoming shows this fall. But this isn’t just your average North American tour. Roan is using her platform to uplift as many people from the community as possible.
In addition to recruiting local drag queens to open for her at each and every show, (interested talent can apply here) Roan is also supplying a limited number of “scholarship” or free tickets for fans facing financial difficulties in an effort to keep attendance affordable and shows accessible.

This future icon is creating safe spaces for fans to dance and shaking up the world of pop-music in the process. Her performances have been described by Teen Vogue as a “disco dance party where everyone can feel like the most fun, the most free version of themselves.”
