The GLAAD Media Award nominated Our Flag Means Death has debuted a new teaser trailer for its second season. Max will drop three episodes on October 5 with two new episodes weekly leading up to the season finale on October 26.
From creator-showrunner David Jenkins, Emmy-nominated executive producer and star Taika Waititi, the eight episode sophomore season of the queer pirate comedy continues the adventures of the 18th century would-be pirate Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby), the captain of the Revenge. Struggling to earn the respect the potentially mutinous crew, Stede’s fortunes change after a run-in with the infamous Captain Blackbeard (Waititi). Their newfound friendship on the high seas turns into love in a hopeless place.
The cast also includes include crew members Lucius (out actor Nathan Foad), Jim Jimenez (out non-binary actor Vico Ortiz), and Fang (out actor David Fane) as well as Black Pete (Matthew Maher).
