The Creative Arts Emmys were held over three ceremonies this past weekend, honoring artistic and technical achievements in television across all genres and platforms. An edited version of the ceremonies will air on Saturday, September 18 on FXX, at 8pm ET.
Below are the LGBTQ-inclusive winners of the 2021 Creative Arts Emmys:
Pose received the Contemporary Costumes award for the costuming of the series finale, as well as Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) and Contemporary Hairstyling for the same episode. Pose is also up for several Primetime Emmys including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Porter, and the historic nomination for Michaela Jaé (Mj) Rodriguez for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked took home its first Emmy in Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, and RuPaul Charles won Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Series for the sixth time in a row. This makes Charles tied with cinematographer Donald A. Morgan for the most Emmys won by a person of color. Drag Race also received Emmys in Outstanding Directing for a Reality or Competition Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program, and Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program. Drag Race is also up for Outstanding Competition Reality Series.
For the fourth year in a row, Queer Eye received the Emmy in Outstanding Structured Reality Program.
Out actress Keke Palmer took home the Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for her roles in Keke Palmer’s Turnt Up With the Taylors on Facebook Watch.
