In collaboration with the GLAAD Media Award winning series RuPaul’s Drag Race, Paramount has recently launched an all new mental health initiative, aimed to help viewers improve their mental health with the power of creativity.
RuPaul’s Drag Race: Creativity as Self-Care believes that creativity and self-expression aren’t just for the runway. Finding your creative flow can be a powerful way to reconnect with yourself, rise above negative noise, and let your inner queen shine.
Paramount has presented research that shows that engaging in creative activities such as dancing, writing, painting, crafting, and singing (even lip-syncing) can boost mental health! This is especially true for our young LGBTQ+ community where 98% of folks confirmed seeking creative outlets to support their well-being.
Below are some tips and opportunities to start sashaying into some self-expression as self-care!
See here for Paramount’s Creativity & Well-Being Werkbook for a guide on slaying creativity and well-being, solo or with your squad.
