Introducing Black Bixa, a bilingual digital space that aims to connect queer Black individuals in the Brazil and the US by highlighting the opinions and experiences of students, artists, and activists on both continents. Created by Dom Griffith, Black Bixa was born from his time as a Fulbright ETA in Bahia, Brazil, the country’s Black nucleus. Starting out as a project that explores the African diaspora through the lens of queer individuals in Latin America, Black Bixa has since developed into a platform that adds to the conversation surrounding intersectionality and the Black queer experience.
