In recent years, the nation’s leading media style books have published guidelines for language and terminology use when reporting on LGBTQ people and their lives, issues, and stories. The Associated Press, Reuters, The New York Times, Hearst Media, and more include LGBTQ terminology and guidelines in their style books.
