On Tuesday, December 19th, Netflix hosted a Toast with Most celebration in honor of all of their incredible LGBTQ talent and programming. “Happy Holigays” was LA’s hottest night for LGBTQ actors, writers, directors and more.
The night included a cocktail hour with a DJ set from the iconic Trixie Mattel. Guests were also shown a reel highlighting some of Netflix’s most groundbreaking series and films showcasing the LGBTQ community.
Next, GLAAD board member and Broadway star Peppermint hosted a panel discussion called “Keep Doing the Most: Celebrating This Year’s Stand Out Stories.” Participants included Eugene Lee Yang (Nimona), Dua Saleh (Sex Education), Ally Pankiw (Black Mirror, Director), and Julian Breece (Rustin, Co-writer) and they discussed the importance of bringing authentic LGBTQ stories to the screen and the power of representation.
