The newest spinoff of The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond premieres Sunday. The show takes place ten years after the zombie apocalypse and follows the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad. The show’s stars include out actor Nico Tororella as Felix, a queer survivor of the apocalypse. The Walking Dead: World Beyond: Sunday, 10pm on AMC.
Sundance Film Festival favorite The Forty-Year-Old Version will be released on Netflix this Friday. Radha Blanks’ film follows Radha, a down-on-her-luck NY playwright, is desperate for a breakthrough before 40. But when she foils what seems like her last shot at success, she’s left with no choice but to reinvent herself as rapper RadhaMUSPrime. The film also stars Peter Kim as Archie, one of Radha’s closest friends, who is gay. The Forty-Year-Old Version: Friday on Netflix.
Docuseries Deaf U comes to Netflix on Friday. The series follows a tight-knit group of deaf students at Gallaudet University, a renowned private college for the deaf and hard of hearing, in Washington, D.C. As the group of friends navigate the high, lows, and hookups of college life together, their stories offer an unprecedented, unfiltered, and often unexpected look inside the Deaf community. The show shows several queer students and is executive produced by out model and activist Nyle DiMarco. Deaf U: Friday on Netflix.
