GLAAD Media Award nominated comedy One Day at a Time will make its broadcast debut on Monday, airing its fourth season on CBS. The show, a remake of the 1970s show of the same name, follows the Alvarez family, a Cuban-American family living in Echo Park. The show includes teenage lesbian daughter Elena among the main cast. One Day at a Time: Monday, 9pm on CBS.
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will be held on Wednesday night. Several LGBTQ artist are nominated, including GLAAD Media Award recipient Lil Nas X, who has 13 nominees. Other out artists nominated include Halsey, Elton John, and Panic! At the Disco, and the show itself will feature performances from artists include Demi Lovato and Sia. 2020 Billboard Music Awards: Wednesday, 8pm on NBC.
Season three of CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery will premiere on Thursday. The third season will introduce new characters Grey (Ian Alexander), a trans man who has spent his life as a Trill planning to be a host for a symbiotic alien species; and Adira (Blu del Barrio), a non-binary character who bonds with gay couple Lt. Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp) and Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz). Star Trek: Discovery: Thursday on CBS All Access.
