The comedy One Day at a Time returns for its fourth season on Tuesday. The show, revived by Pop TV after being cancelled by Netflix, follows the Alvarez family, including lesbian daughter Elena, living in Los Angeles. In the season premiere, after a census taker comes to the house, the Alvarez family reflects on their relationships, and what else the future may, or may not, have in store. One Day at a Time: Tuesday, 9:30pm on Pop TV.
The new NBC drama Council of Dads premieres on Tuesday night. The show follows the Perry family, after their dad Scott is diagnosed with cancer, as he assembles a council of other dads to take care of his five children, one of whom is trans, if anything should happen to him. Council of Dads: Tuesday, 10pm on NBC.
On Friday, GLAAD Medie institute alum Jan Eastman and her family are competing on the season finale of Nickelodeon’s The Crystal Maze, a show where families are put through a series of challenges and puzzles to win $25,000. In The Crystal Maze season finale, Jan and her wife Samantha, and their three children, Asher, Ezra, and Talya will communicate, encourage each other, shake off setbacks, and celebrate their victories. The Crystal Maze: Friday, 7pm on Nickelodeon.
