The second season of Starz’ Hightown premieres tonight. The show follow lesbian investigator Jackie as she works to stop the drug problems in Provincetown. In the premiere, Jackie is white-hot to prove herself as a cop and avenge the death of her best friend, Junior. Frankie teams up with his cousin while Ray’s off of the force because of Renee. There’s a new deadly drug in town, Great White. Hightown: Sunday, 9pm on Starz.
On Thursday, new Peacock supernatural drama The Girl in the Woods premieres on the streamer. In the show monsters are real, kept at bay behind a mysterious door in a cult-like colony. Teenage runaway Carrie’s (Stefanie Scott) job is to guard that door, but when strange occurrences begin to shake the sleepy mining town to its core, she must enlist the help of new friends Nolan (non-binary actor Misha Osherovich) and Tasha (Sofia Wylie). The group becomes an unlikely trio of monster slayers, determined to save their loved ones. The Girl in the Woods: Thursday on Peacock.
