The sophmore season of GLAAD Media Award-nominated horror drama Chucky premieres Wednesday on USA Network and Syfy. Executive produced by out creator of the Child’s Play franchise Don Mancini, the series continues to follow the exploits of the infamous Chucky doll. After Chucky’s diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, the doll seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: queer teen Jake, his boyfriend Devon, and his friend Lexy. Meanwhile, can ‘Jevon’ make it as a couple in the face of adversity at their new catholic school, not to mention a brand-new onslaught of terror from the demon doll? Chucky: Wednesday, 9pm on USA Network and Syfy.
The hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy returns for a record-breaking nineteenth season on ABC this Thursday. The season introduces a brand new slate of first-year surgical residents and interns, including Jules Millin (bisexual actress Adelaide Kane) and Mika Yasuda (queer actress Midori Francis)! In the episode, Meredith is still functioning as the interim chief and sees Nick for the first time since she rejected his offer to move to Minnesota; Bailey tells Richard she is not ready to return to work; and Levi works up the courage to break disappointing news to Jo. On Friday, the third and final season of Derry Girls drops on Netflix. The series follows the beloved Derry Girls, consisting of the intelligent and studious “wee lesbian” Clare and her friends Erin, Orla, Michelle, and James, as they attend a girls Catholic secondary school in Northern Ireland during the final years of the Troubles. In the episode, GCSE results day approaches and confidence is at rock bottom— they definitely need a plan. Back home, a new member of the Quinn household is causing chaos in the neighborhood.
