Out comedian and actor Jane Lynch makes her debut as host in the revival of the game show The Weakest Link. The series sees eight contestants working together to answer trivia for an increasing cash prize, with the opportunity to vote out a player each round. The Weakest Link: NBC, 8:00pm on Tuesday.
The Netflix film The Boys in the Band, produced by Ryan Murphy and directed by Joe Mantello, brings back the cast from the 2018 Broadway revival for its Wednesday premiere. The story takes place in 1968 New York when Michael (Jim Parsons) decides to throw a birthday party for his friend, bringing together their entire friend group of gay men, and the night gets dramatic from there as an unexpected guest and a questionable game reveals new tensions. The cast stars out actors Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Tuc Watkins, Brian Hutchison, Robin de Jesús, Charlie Carver, and Michael Benjamin Washington. Saturday Night Live returns this Saturday for season 46. This season’s ensemble cast includes returning queer faves Kate McKinnon and Bowen Yang, and adds newcomer Punkie Johnson. She makes history as the first out Black lesbian to join the series’ ensemble cast. Saturday Night Live: NBC, 11:30pm on Saturday.
