The MLB stepped up to the plate for this year for Spirit Day! In honor of the world’s most visible anti-bullying movement inspiring LGBTQ youth, especially transgender and nonbinary youth to live their lives in their truth and authenticity, countless Major League Baseball teams took the pledge.
The official MLB social media accounts changed their profile photo in support of Spirit Day and posted a touching tribute to the late Billy Bean, who was among the very first professional athletes to come out as gay.
Today is #SpiritDay, which was championed throughout MLB by our late friend and colleague Billy Bean.
