LOVELOUD has just wrapped up their first-ever tour and it was a major hit!
LOVELOUD is a non-profit founded in 2017 by Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of pop-rock band Imagine Dragons, to help ignite the vital conversations about what it means to unconditionally love, understand, support, accept, and celebrate the LGBTQ community.
This fall, Reynolds was joined by LGBTQ and allied musicians and fans for a 3-city tour aimed to spread love and raise awareness and funds for LOVELOUD. From Washington D.C. to Salt Lake City to Austin, Reynolds and host Kalen Allen celebrated the LGBTQ community alongside performers like Lauv, Cavetown, Chelsea Cutler, Tegan and Sara, Mother Mother, Lindsey Stirling, Victoria Monét, VINCINT, Allison Russell, and David Archuleta.
Reynolds shared, “What an extraordinary inaugural run for the LOVELOUD Tour! The electrifying atmosphere and warm reception at every venue were genuinely uplifting. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the dedicated team behind the scenes, the exceptionally talented voices that graced us with unforgettable performances, and the incredible fans who stood with us in championing our mission to uplift the LGBTQ+ community. Your unwavering support enabled us to generate vital funds for organizations nationwide, empowering them to persist in their crucial efforts to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our LGBTQ+ friends and family.”
Major outlets have praised the music festival, with Forbes saying “LOVELOUD is a proven success, one whose message has been heard by millions,” and INTO stating the tour “an important moment of love for the queer community.”
Additionally, as part the Washington, D.C. leg of the tour, LOVELOUD team members took this important conversation to Capitol Hill! They spoke with representatives including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator John Fetterman, Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, Senior Advisor to the President Steve Benjamin, and Senator Jacky Rosen about various LGBTQ issues and legislation.
