Turn your social media purple, wear something purple and share messages on social media. You can do it in English and or en español. Young people need to hear from us. Kate Del Castillo returns for season 3 of “La Reina Del Sur” The long-awaited third installment of one of Latin America’s most popular series finally returns on October 18th on Telemundo. Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) is not behind bars for long before returning to the action-packed world of international drug trafficking. The season will be available to stream on Netflix when the season concludes on air.
GARRAS, “the fashion show that transcends borders”, is a month away
Hosted by the TransLatin@ Coalition, the GARRAS Fashion Show is an annual fundraising event to support the life-saving supportive services that The TransLatin@ Coalition provides in Los Angeles through the Center for Violence Prevention & Transgender Wellness. It also supports the GARRAS Scholarship, which aims to support TGI individuals pursuing careers in healthcare. The event is on Saturday, November 19th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in West Hollywood. Amazon Prime LATAM adapts Tamara Tenenbaum’s “El Fin Del Amor” for the small screen
A new series “El Fin Del Amor” follows Tamara (Lali Espósito), a strict Orthodox Jewish woman who leaves her boyfriend to find love and rebellion in Buenos Aires. You can find it on Amazon Prime starting November 4th.
Hillary and Chelsea Clinton help celebrate ‘Gutsy’ Peruvian mountain climber
The Apple TV+ docuseries follows Hillary and Chelsea Clinton as they meet with powerful women across the world with ‘guts’. In the episode “Gutsy Women Are Forces of Nature,” the Clintons hold a segment dedicated to Silvia Vasquez-Lavado, the Peruvian mountain climber who empowers others to find their physical and spiritual strength. Vasquez-Lavado was the first gay woman to conquer the Seven Summits. The docu-series and episode can be streamed on Apple TV+ now.
Bienestar’s Latin Factory returns after a two-year hiatus
Bienestar Human Services is hosting their signature fundraising event on October 14th, at Ed Gould Plaza in Los Angeles from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM. Bienestar is a Southern California social services organization dedicated to positively impacting the health and well-being of Latinx, LGBTQ and other underserved communities.
