It’s time to celebrate Bisexual+ Awareness Week and National Latine Heritage Month, and we’re thrilled to highlight a few of the many authentic and dynamic bi+ Latine stories currently available to stream!
In 2014, GLAAD co-founded and co-led the first #BiWeek with BiNet USA to draw attention to the issues faced by the bi+ community, including erasure and visibility. Annually, from September 16-23, GLAAD, the Bisexual Resource Center, and Still Bisexual recognize the bisexual+ community for Bisexual Awareness Week, culminating in Celebrate Bisexuality+ Day on September 23.
National Latine Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 to October 15 to celebrate the rich history, vast cultural diversity and outstanding achievements of Latine Americans. This year’s theme, selected by The National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM), is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” which “recognizes the many Latines who have paved the way for future generations to be able to enact change, and encompasses the spirit of innovation, resilience and unity that define the Latine experience.”
