Mid-Century Modern follows three best friends — gay gentlemen of a certain age – who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother.

Mid-Century Modern stars Nathan Lane as Bunny Schneiderman, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank, Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard and Linda Lavin as Sybil Schneiderman, Bunny’s mother.
The series is from executive producers Max Mutchnick & David Kohan and executive producer Ryan Murphy.
Stars Nathan Lane and Matt Bomer also executive produced the series, along with James Burrows, who also served as director.
In interviews with GLAAD’s Tony Morrison, Max Mutchnick & David Kohan, who were also the creators of the hit sitcom Will & Grace, shared what’s in Mid-Century Modern for non-LGBTQ audiences, their secret sauce for making popular but impactful television, and gave advice for up-and-coming creators and producers in a complex industry and climate.
Catching up with Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane and Nathan Lee Graham, Morrison sat down with the trio to discuss what the show means to them, what stood out the most, and reflected on how their personal lives and lived experiences played important parts of making Mid-Century Modern sing for audiences of all backgrounds, and certainly for anyone who just needs a laugh.
