The nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards were announced on November 8 and among the LGBTQ nominees, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, and Doechii scored multiple nominations in categories across the board.
Breakout pop star of the year Chappell Roan is nominated six times four of which are in major categories including Song of the Year for “Good Luck, Babe!” a nomination she shares with songwriter Justin Tranter. Roan is also up for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, as well as Album of the Year.

Roan is in good company as she is alongside Billie Eilish in the categories of Album and Record of the Year. The BIRDS OF A FEATHER artist, who racked up seven nominations this year is looking to add more trophies to her mantle with additional nominations Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Guess” with Charli XCX.
Rapper Doechii is also up for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance as well as Best Rap Album of the year while St. Vincent has received multiple noms including Best Rock Performance.

Lady Gaga received two noms for her duet with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile” while Troye Sivan‘s “Got Me Started” was nominated for Best Pop Recording. Clairo‘s Charm received a nod for Best Alternative Music Album while Kehlani earned nominations for Best R&B Song and Best Progressive R&B Album. Scott Hoying also received a nom for “Rose Without the Thorns” featuring Saje & Tonality.

Anitta‘s Funk Generation scored a nod for Best Latin Pop Album and Cardi B was nominated for Best Rap Performance for “Enough (Miami)”. Other noteworthy LGBTQ artists who earned nominations include Meshell Ndegeocello, Brittany Howard, Kaytranada, Green Day, Judas Priest, and Durand Bernarr.

GLAAD Media Award honoree Beyoncé made history becoming the most-nominated artist in the show’s history surpassing her husband, Jay-Z. The Cowboy Carter artist led with 11 noms bringing her total to 99 total nominations. She is also the winningest artist in Grammy history with 32 trophies. She is up for many major categories including Record and Album of the year but she also landed in many country categories, one of them being Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “II MOST WANTED” with Miley Cyrus.

Other LGBTQ allies nominated this year include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter, received six nominations each as well as the aforementioned Charli XCX who received seven nominations and Ariana Grande who landed three.
