1) Roku has released the premiere date and an official trailer for the forthcoming holiday-themed film Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, based off of the Emmy-nominated series of the same name. Picking up where Season Two left off, on her first holiday without her father, Zoey (Jane Levy) attempts to create a magical Christmas for her family. The film is set to debut on the Roku Channel on December 1 and will feature out actor and singer Alex Newell, playing queer character Mo. Watch the trailer below!
2) The cast has been announced for Dope Queens, an upcoming film that follows three friends over the course of one night in San Francisco’s tenderloin district. The cast includes trans stars Alexandra Grey and Trace Lysette in leading roles beside Pierson Fodé, also well as Drag Race All Stars winner Kyle Sonique Love. In more film news, Focus Features has released an official teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Downton Abbey sequel, Downton Abbey: A New Era, featuring gay character Thomas Barrow (Robert James-Collier). Following the marriage of Tom Branson and Lucy Smith, the Crawleys will be heading off to the south of France for a new adventure. 3) HBO and RadicalMedia have announced a forthcoming documentary chronicling the 15th Anniversary Spring Awakening Reunion Concert Benefit. Directed by out filmmaker and playwright Michael Mayer, Spring Awakening tells the story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality as seen through the eyes of three teenagers. The documentary will be directed by out producers Tom Hulce and Jonathan Groff and will feature performances from the concert, behind the scenes moments with cast members, newly filmed interviews and archival footage from the original performance.

4) Netlfix’s Emmy Award-winning series Queer Eye has announced a December 31 premiere date for the upcoming Season 6. Out “Fab Five” Antoni Porowski (food and wine), Bobby Berk (design), Jonathan Van Ness (grooming), Karamo Brown (culture), and Tan France (fashion) are heading to The Lone Star State for a season filled with lifestyle makeovers and cowboy boots. 5) HBO and Universal Television have released an official teaser trailer for The Gilded Age, featuring queer actresses Denée Benton and Cynthia Nixon. The nine-part series begins in 1882 with young Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson) moving from rural Pennsylvania to New York City after the death of her father to live with her thoroughly old money aunts Agnes van Rhjin (Christine Baranski) and Ada Brook (Cynthia Nixon). Exposed to a world on the brink of the modern age, will Marian follow the established rules of society, or forge her own path? The Gilded Age debuts Monday January 24 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Check out the teaser below!
6) Paramount+ has announced new additions to the cast of Queen of the Universe, an upcoming drag queen singing competition hosted by out BAFTA TV Award-winner Graham Norton. 14 drag queens from across 10 regions around the world will perform in front of a live studio audience and judges Leona Lewis, Michelle Visage, Trixie Mattel and Vanessa Williams. The cast includes past contestants from American Idol (out singer and performer Ada Vox), America’s Got Talent and The X-Factor (out singer and performer Gingzilla), and the global RuPaul’s Drag Race family (out All-Star’s 5 finalist Jujubee and The Switch’s winner Leona Winter). 7) Apple TV+ has set a premiere date and released a trailer for the murder-myster comedy The Afterparty, featuring queer actors Ilana Glazer and John Early. The eight-episode series centers high school classmates for a reunion turned sour by one fellow alum’s gruesome death. Each episode will feature a retelling of the same night through different characters’ perspectives, each with its own unique visual format and film genre to match the teller’s personality. 8) Disney Branded Television has announced an original animated comedy-adventure, Hailey’s On It!, starring out Moana actress Auli’i Cravalho. The series will follow Hailey Banks (Cravalho), a risk-averse but resourceful teenager on a mission to complete every item on her long list of challenging tasks in order to save the world!

9) Netflix has released an official teaser trailer for the new coming-of-age reality series, Roaring Twenties. In the series, eight twenty-something strangers become roommates, while learning to navigate love, friendship, and the “new normal” of America today. The cast features multiple queer young adults, including Abbey and Keauno. Binge the show on December 10 and watch the teaser below!
10) In honor of Transgender Awareness Week, Andy Grammer partnered with the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles— America’s first Trans Chorus, embracing all members of the trans, non-binary and intersex communities– for a special live performance of “Damn It Feels Good To Be Me”.
