1.) Neon has unveiled the first still image from the forthcoming horror film Cuckoo, starring trans actress, model, and LGBTQ activist Hunter Schafer in her feature film debut. Cuckoo is slated for release in 2023; check out the photo below!
2.) Out star Colman Domingo has released an exclusive clip of his animated short film New Moon, set to premiere this week at Outfest L.A. Written by Colman and his husband Raúl Domingo, the film tells the story of a young Black boy and his mother who sit on their West Philadelphia porch and talk about their hopes, dreams and inspirations under the light of a new moon. 3.) Gay actor and television host Jonathan Bennett has been set to headline and executive produce a new movie for Hallmark entitled Wedding of a Lifetime. Jake (Bennett) and Darby (Brooke D’Orsay) are engaged high school sweethearts in a close-knit mountain town who have fallen out of love. The pair find themselves on a romantic competition show with the chance to win an all-expenses-paid “wedding of a lifetime!” Will the charade end here, or will the competition rekindle their once budding romance?

4.) Out Love, Simon director Greg Berlanti has been set to direct Apple’s forthcoming space pic Project Artemis, replacing Jason Bateman. Though plot details are under wraps, it has been confirmed that the film will be set against the space race of the 1960’s.

5.) Netflix has released the official trailer for rom-com Uncoupled. From gay writers and producers Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, the eight-part series stars out actor Neil Patrick Harris. Michael (Harris), must navigate single life in New York City as a mid-forties gay man after his partner of seventeen years unexpectidley walks out on him. Uncoupled will launch on July 29— Watch the trailer below!
6.) Out Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has joined the cast of Fellow Travelers, a part love story, part political thriller set in 1950’s McCarthy-era Washington DC. Based on a novel by out author Thomas Mallon, the series follows the volatile romance of two very different men— Hawkins Fuller (out actor Matt Bomer) and Tim Laughlin (Bailey)— over the course of four decades. In more casting news, out Heartstopper actress Yasmin Finney has confirmed that her upcoming character Rose on the Doctor Who 60th anniversary special will be transgender, making her one of the only trans characters in the sci-fi show’s history! Additionally, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has confirmed that his character Will Byers is gay and in love with his friend Mike, making him the first gay character of the series.
7.) Hulu had released a teaser for the forthcoming fifth season of the critically acclaimed series The Handmaid’s Tale. In the season, June (Elizabeth Moss) faces consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. June’s queer best friend Moira (out actress Samira Wiley) and her husband Luke (O-T Fagbenle) help fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite June’s daughter Hannah. Season five premieres on September 14, with new episodes streaming on Wednesdays; check out the teaser here! In more teaser news, SYFY has released the a season two premiere date announcement teaser for the horror drama series Chucky. The series is executive produced by out creator of the Child’s Play franchise, Don Mancini and continues to follow the exploits of the Chucky doll. After Chucky’s diabolocal plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals failed in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: queer teen Jake, his boyfriend Devon, and his friend Lexy. Chucky season two premieres on USA and SYFY October 5; watch the teaser below!
8.) Apple TV+ has renewed workplace comedy Loot for a second season. The series centers on billionaire Molly Novak (Maya Rudolph), whose life of luxury is tarnished when she learns that her husband of twenty years has betrayed her. After a very public downward spiral, Molly turns to a charity foundation in her name run by the no-nonsense Sofia, played by out Pose star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. With her loyal assistant Nicholas by her side, played by out Fire Island star Joel Kim Booster, Molly embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Watch the first five episodes of Loot on Apple TV+ today, with new episodes premiering every Friday.
9.) Hulu has renewed Only Murders in the Building for a third season. New episodes of the current second season stream weekly on Tuesdays and feature out actress Cara Delevingne as Alice, a chic art gallery owner and Mabel’s love interest, and out actress Jane Lynch as Sazz, Savage’s body double. In more renewal news, Amazon Prime’s original series The Lake has been set for a second season. The Lake centers on the quintessential Canadian cottage experience, following Justin (out actor Jordan Gavaris), a recently divorced gay man trying to reconnect with his daughter Billie (Madison Shamoun) after giving her up for adoption in his teens. 10.) Non-binary and pansexual artist EVVAN has released a new single “Craving” on International Non-Binary People’s Day, as well as their directorial debut music video; stream the song here check out the video below! Lastly, out global drag icons and RuPaul’s Drag Race stars, BenDeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon have announced the return of The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show.
