1.) John Wick: Chapter 4 is out in theaters today! The film follows Keanu Reaves reprising his role as legendary hitman John Wick as he attempts to take on a worldwide poker ring called High Table. The movie features queer singer and actress Rina Sawayama as Akira, the daughter of Wick’s friend Shimazu Koji. She also released a new song for the film, titled “Eye for an Eye.” See John Wick: Chapter 4 in theaters now!
2.) A trailer and release has been set for upcoming festival favorite Monica. The fillm starts Trace Lysette as Monica, a trans woman who returns home to her ill and estranged mother, who does not know who she is. The film will hit theaters May 12; watch the trailer below.

3.) Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel will star in Mother Mary, an upcoming musical epic from A24. The film follows Hathaway as a fictional actress who finds herself in a relationship with an iconic fashion designer. Stay tuned for more news on Mother Mary! In other A24 casting news, non-binary actor Lachlan Watson has been cast in Y2K, an upcoming comedy.

3.) Lesbian actress and comedian Kate McKinnon has been tapped to star in In the Blink of an Eye, an upcoming feature from Searchlight. The film will track three storylines spanning thousands of years, and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life. World of Wonder (RuPaul’s Drag Race) and Gatekeeper Productions have announced the wrap of an upcoming drag documentary titled The Little Pageant That Could. The documentary tracks the rise of Los Angeles’ Best in Drag show, which has grossed over 6 million dollars for the Alliance for Housing and Healing, an organization that helps individuals living with HIV/AIDS. At a time where drag is under attack all across the country, documentaries about the inherent good and joy of drag are more necessary than ever. There’s no release date yet, but stay tuned for more information!

5.) A24 has announced a television adaptation of Young Mungo, from queer writer Douglas Stuart’s book of the same name. Young Mungo Stuart’s second book; his first book, Shuggie Bain, is also being adapted for tv by A24. The series follows Protestant Mungo and Catholic James as they navigate a hyper-masculine world. While their circumstances would normally make them enemies, they find solace in each other as their relationship grows into more than either expected. Stay tuned for more updates on Young Mungo!

6.) Gay actor Neil Patrick Harris will return for the midseason finale of How I Met Your Father, the spinoff of popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which Harris starred in. Harris made a surprise appearance in the first episode of the season, and fans have been waiting to see what Barney Stinson has in store for Sophie (Hilary Duff). 7.) Non-binary actor Leah Harvey has been added to the cast of Paramount+ and Showtime’s upcoming series A Gentleman in Moscow. The show follows a Russian aristocrat who is forced to make a new life for himself when he is banished to a hotel by a Soviet tribunal. Harvey plays hotel chambermaid and single mother Marina. 8.) A new album from queer singer-songwriter Caroline Rose, titled The Art of Forgetting, is out everywhere now! Legendary gay rockstar Elton John releases Honky Chateau 50th Anniversary Edition today as well, featuring nine new demos. Queer singer-songwriter Demi Lovato is releasing a new rock version of hit single “Heart Attack.” Bisexual musician Donna Missal’s new single “Flicker” is also out now! Additionally, queer jazz singer Mathew V has released his latest single “My Boy“, off his upcoming album Anything Goes, out April 14; check out the live performance video of the single!

9.) A new stage adaptation of Brokeback Mountain will hit the stage in London’s West End! The play is based on Anne Proulx’s short story, not the Ang Lee film of the same name. The now famous story follows two cowboys who fall in love in Wyoming and the trials and tribulations that come with queer romance. Stay tuned for more news on Brokeback Mountain’s stage adaptation!

10.) Gay news anchor Anderson Cooper will lead a new show in CNN’s primetime slate titled The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper. The recurring weekly series will feature single-subject stories from the longform news team, including profiles, investigations, and special interviews. The show is currently set to debut on April 16.
