1) The trailer is out for upcoming Hulu original film Crush, which stars out actresses Rowan Blanchard and Auli’i Cravalho. The film follows an ambitious young artist who, when forced to join her high school track team, initially capitalizes on it to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on. But she begins to instead fall for an unexpected teammate and soon discovers what real love feels like.
2) Out trans actress Talisa Garcia has been cast in upcoming Disney+ series Willow. The prequel to the 1980s fantasy film of the same name features a princess who recruits a party to join her on a quest to rescue her twin brother. Garcia will play a Queen and mother to one of the princess’s party members.
3) The trailer for season two of The Wilds has been released. A group of teenage girls stranded on a seemingly deserted island have actually been secretly recruited into an elaborate social experiment. The series picks up after the discovery that there’s a new set of subjects, an island of teenage boys, who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment’s research head. Season one saw a queer romance develop between teen girls Toni (Erana James) and Shelby (Mia Healey).
4) The trailer for upcoming series Outer Range has officially dropped. Josh Brolin plays Royal Abbott, a rancher fighting to protect his land and family after the disappearance of his daughter-in-law and an untimely death in their small-town community, when he suddenly discovers an unfathomable mysterious black void at the edge of his land. Tamara Podemski plays Deputy Sheriff Joy Hawk, the first gay Native American in Wyoming to become acting sheriff; but she’s facing an election that could replace her with yet another white man, no matter how good she is at her job.
5) First-look photos for season seven of Grace and Frankie have been released. The series follows divorcées and frenemies Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (out actress Lily Tomlin) whose husbands Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterson) left them to marry each other. Additionally, the official trailer for season two of Russian Doll has dropped. Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (out actor Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop together, this season finds them delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first, they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure, but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out. Greta Lee will return as Nadia’s queer friend Maxine.

10) Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival has added STAND OUT: An LGBTQ+ Celebration to its lineup with Billy Eichner to host. An extensive cornucopia of out comedians will perform, including Bob the Drag Queen, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, River Butcher, Tig Notaro, Trixie Mattel, and others – even more are to be announced.
