1) Upcoming holiday romantic comedy Happiest Season, from out director Clea DuVall has added several new actors to the cast including out actors Daniel Levy, Victor Garber and Aubrey Plaza, along with Mary Steenburgen and Alison Brie. The film stars Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis and will be released into theaters in November.

2) Netflix has picked up the rights to documentary Mucho Mucho Amor, which follows the story of Walter Mercado, the gender non-conforming television astrologer who grew a massive audience before disappearing in 2007. The film will play at Sundance and be released by Netflix this summer.

3) Producer Chelsea Winstanley has launched a new production company This Too Shall Pass. One of the first films slated for production is Thief of Sleep, the story of a young gay man who faces persecution in Iran and flees to his family in Scotland. In more film news, Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellows has announced that he is working on a sequel to the GLAAD Media Award-nominated 2019 Downton Abbey film.
4) Out actor Billy Eichner has been cast as Matt Drudge in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: Impeachment. He will star opposite queer stars Sarah Paulson and Beanie Feldstein. In other TV news, a trailer has been released for new Netflix comedy Gentefied, which follows a family trying to save their Mexican restaurant in the face of gentrification. The show also contains queer women in the ensemble. It will be released on February 21.
5) The queens for the upcoming season 12 of RuPauls Drag Race have been announced. Click here to see the thirteen Drag Queens competing on the upcoming season. A new trailer has been released for Visible: Out on Television, the docuseries from Apple that delves in the history of LGBTQ representation on TV. 6) HBO Max has ordered animated comedy The Prince from out creator Gary Janetti. The show will be a comedic take on the royals through the eyes of Prince George, voiced by Janetti. The all-star cast also includes out actor Alan Cumming. Freeform as renewed inclusive series grown-ish and Good Trouble. Grown-ish is currently on its fourth season, while Good Trouble is airing its third.

7) AMC has announced a new comedy I Run Hot from Broad City’s Ilana Glazer and her out brother Eliot Glazer. The show “follows the unlikely friendship between Eliot, a gay curmudgeon who never quite fit in with the community, and Colton, a famous #instagay who can’t help but exemplify it.” Out star Colton Hayes will star as Colton.

8) Pet Shop Boys, made up of gay singer Neil Tennant and musician Chris Lowe released their fourteenth studio album today, Hotspot. Download and stream the album here, and watch their newest video for single ‘Monkey Business’ below.
9) Queer singer Madame Ghandi released a music video for her song “See Me Thru,” off her EP Visions. Watch the music video here! In more music news, out bi singer mxmtoon released a new single “fever dream.” The track is available to stream and download here.
10) Short film The Men Who Wait is currently funding from filmmaker Truong Minh Quy. The film tells of an encounter between two mature gay men, a population that often doesn’t get their stories of desire told. The film will be shot in France and use improvised dialogue to contribute to the realism. Click here to learn about the project and contribute.
