Today, GLAAD was honored with two Webby Awards, one for Best Social – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – in recognition of the organization’s social media presence including content that GLAAD creates as well as the advocacy and public education that our social media accounts share each day. GLAAD also received the People’s Voice Award, voted on by a worldwide audience, for the Best Social – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category. GLAAD has been recognized with nominations, honors, and wins from the Webby Awards nine times since 2020.
Established in 1996, The Webby Awards, often referred to as ‘The Webbys’, are the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. There were nearly 13,000 entries submitted this year from around the world, with GLAAD taking home two honors.
