The couple discussed their new Little Bee Children’s Book, “All Moms” with hosts Al Roker, Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Joneson Wednesday, June 1, which is also #LGBTQFamiliesDay, a time to celebrate the many families that have LGBTQ members.
Reflecting on the start of Pride month and the many challenges that the LGBTQ community is facing, Ellis told the morning show hosts, “My biggest wish for Pride this month is that our kids feel safe and loved, and that’s universal. We can stop letting people divide us and realize that, united, we’re here to protect our kids and help them grow and learn.”
The couple who have two children co-wrote “All Moms”, which is a love letter to moms of all various walks of life and backgrounds and the amazing things they do. A portion of the proceeds from every book sold will benefit GLAAD’s culture changing work to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ community.
