GLAAD Hangout with Moi Santos and Aiko Little — 11/12/24 – Moi Santos and Aiko Little will be diving into the importance of amplifying Indigenous voices, pushing for more representation, and paving the way for future generations of Indigenous storytellers. As advocates for cultural equity and inclusion, Moi and Aiko will share insights on breaking barriers, fostering creative spaces, and the power of storytelling.

GLAAD Hangouts with Damon Epps, Tony Jarmin and Kenneth Walden — 11/4/24 – Damon Epps, Tony Jarmin and Kenneth Walden discuss what’s at stake this election Eve. Damon and Tony are also the hosts of the Surface Level Podcast (@surfacelevelpodcast), where they delve into the complexities of the Black and Queer experience through personal stories and thought-provoking conversations that challenge societal norms around identity, race, and sexuality.

GLAAD Hangouts with Moi Santos and Emma Robbins Monday, November 4th to celebrate Native American Heritage Month — 11/4/24 – Moi Santos, Manager of Sundance Institute’s Equity, Impact, and Belonging Program, and special guest Emma Robbins, a powerful advocate for Indigenous rights. Emma serves as the Executive Director of The Chapter House, an organization dedicated to empowering Indigenous women and communities, and is the Managing Director of Planet Women, where she champions femme-led conservation efforts. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, they’ll engage in a compelling conversation celebrating Emma’s transformative work and dedication to Indigenous empowerment.

Siaira will also share how her song “Wrong Speed” made its way onto HBO’s Insecure and discuss her passion for empowering fellow artists through her work with nonprofit label Over Everything. GLAAD Hangouts with Kyle Price and Kemar Jewel on Oct 22, 2024 — 10/22/24 – Kyle and Kemar dive into Kemar’s groundbreaking work in the ballroom scene and the ongoing influence of voguing in elevating Black queer voices. They’ll also discuss his heartfelt project honoring the life of O’Shae Sibley, who was tragically taken from us last year. This year would have marked O’Shae’s 30th birthday, and in his memory, Kemar completed a project they started together to celebrate his legacy.

Darrel Alejandro Holnes - Did You Know — 10/11/24 – Darrel Alejandro Holnes work has graced the pages of the American Poetry Review, Poetry Magazine, Callaloo, Best American Experimental Writing, and more. A recipient of prestigious honors like the C.P. Cavafy Poetry Prize, he has also been awarded grants and fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, Canto Mundo, MacDowell Colony, and the Cave Canem Foundation.

GLAAD Hangout with Joniel R Pacheco Munoz - Did You Know — 10/3/24 – Meet Joniel, activist, and co-founder of Unión Negra Antirracista (UNA UPRRP @unauprr, the first Black student organization at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.In this episode, Joniel sheds light on a pivotal law passed in Puerto Rico that prohibits discrimination against Afro-Puerto Ricans who choose to wear their natural hair and hairstyles. He also explores how Black Puerto Ricans have shaped the very foundation of Puerto Rican identity, while still facing some of the harshest discrimination on the island.

GLAAD Hangout with Kyle Price and Nicco Annan — 7/18/24 – Tune in as Kyle and Nicco discuss Nicco’s journey to the screen after making his mark in the off-Broadway and regional theatre communities, his role starring in Katori Hall’s critically acclaimed drama series, “P-VALLEY,” on STARZ, and how Annan’s role in the show defies traditional gender limitations while bringing dignity, danger, and grace central to Uncle Clifford’s common humanity. They’ll also discuss STARZ’s new “DOWN IN THE VALLEY,” a docuseries, hosted and executive produced by Nicco, that explores the real life stories and rich and complex culture of the deep South.

GLAAD Hangouts with Kristian Fanene Schmidt and Vaelupe Ma'aele — 5/14/24 – Tune in as Krit and Vaelupe discuss how Vaelupe co-creates safe spaces for queer BIPOC aligned and Pacific Islanders to begin their mental health journey, her specialization in helping folx grow through relationships, anxiety, and cultural expectations, and her passion for helping folx align with their most authentic selves through individual therapy, community workshops, and speaking engagements with her perspective expertise.

Hangouts with Will Ramirez and Kyron Banks — 3/22/24 – These four amazing HIV advocates will share firsthand reflections on #AIDSWatch 2024, our country’s longest and largest HIV advocacy event, while discussing the value of collective action and responsibility. When it comes to ending the HIV epidemic, we’re in this together!

Hangouts with Eshe Ukweli and Jay Jones — 3/21/24 – Tune in as Eshe and Jay discuss Jay’s current role serving as the Vice President of the Howard University Student Association, the first trans woman to ever hold the position. They’ll also discuss how Jay has been a champion for trans representation in leadership and LGBTQ+ policies, especially on-campus.

Hangouts Queer Aunties and JadeFox — 2/20/24 – Bri, Shay, and Jade discuss Jade’s work and how she blends her signature sense of humor with her strong sense of community to create engaging, conscious content. They also discuss Jade’s experience art directing campaigns for notable brands and the ways she acts as a vital voice in today’s most exciting conversations on androgynous fashion and pop culture.

Hangouts Queer Aunties and Mal Wright — 2/13/24 – Bri, Shay, and Mal discuss Mal’s work, recent appearance on Netflix’s hit show “The Ultimatum: Queer Love,” and early affinity for fashion, community, and culture that led to her evolution into entertainment, advocacy, hosting, and culture bridge building.
