Hangouts Kyle Price and Keith F. Miller Jr — 11/28/23 – Tune in as Kyle and Keith discuss Keith’s work as the founder of Healing By Any Means, LLC, his role as executive producer of “Pritty: The Animation,” and his debut novel “Pritty,” which is part one of a multi book series.

Hangouts with Chet Kincaid and Charlie Amaya Scott — 11/21/23 – Tune in as Chet and charlie discuss charlie’s dedication to inspiring joy and justice and their blog dineaesthetics.com, where she reflects, analyzes, and celebrates what it means to be Diné, Queer, and Trans in the 21st century. They also discuss Native American Heritage Month and charlie’s scholarship and writings.

GLAAD Hangouts with Chastity Bowick, Kyle Price and Martin Henson — 11/16/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Chastity, and Martin discuss Chastity and Martin’s respective and collective work, Trans Awareness Week and Month, and their upcoming Bridging the Gap event on Friday, November 17th in Downtown Boston. The event, hosted by BMEN, CCTG (@cctgllc), and Transgender Emergency Fund (@transemergencyfund) is a dinner conversation exploring the stigma, myths, and experiences of discrimination impacting Black straight men and trans women of color.

Hangouts with Kincaid Wolfe and Ellen Wolfe — 11/14/23 – Chet and Ellen discuss Ellen’s career as a Public Health Nurse, her experiences providing care and services to patients living with HIV/AIDS, and her work with Cherokee County Health Services Council (CCHSC) in Oklahoma identifying the need for HIV testing, treatment, and care within three counties that have increased rates of HIV within the Native American population.

Hangouts Chet Kincaid and Marx Cassity — 11/7/23 – Tune in as Chet and Marx discuss Marx’s experiences as a queer youth growing up on an Osage Nation reservation, their journey working as a trauma therapist for Native American LGBTQ+ clients, and their music, which is evolving from folk-rock to piano and synth-driven electronic rock, and which is a medium through which Marx explores their trans masculinity and identity.

Hangouts with Mike Brown and DeMarco Majors — 10/11/23 – Tune in as DeMarco and Mike discuss their respective work and experiences, LGBTQ+ History Month, and National Coming Out Day, today October 11.

Hangouts with Steven London and Jessie Claudio — 10/10/23 – Steven and Jessie discuss Jessie’s work including running city-wide HIV testing and condom distribution, LGBTQ+ peer support networks, non-profit capacity-building programs, and serving as an LGBTQ+ Latinx Community Ambassador.

Hangouts with Julian J. Walker and Jarvis Sam — 9/29/23 – Tune in as Julian and Jarvis discuss Jarvis’ work with The Rainbow Disruption, his work as a writer, performer, and public speaker, his experience working within the DEI space, and the upcoming inaugural RainbowDisruptCon, which will take over Seattle Art Museum

Hangouts Victor Jackson and NNeka Onourah — 9/28/23 – Victor and Nneka discuss Nneka’s work (including her first Emmy nomination and win which was a historic achievement for queer women of color directors), her commitment to telling narratively and formally daring stories that re-examine and uplift underrepresented communities, and the upcoming @outonfilm screening of Nneka’s project “Truth Be Told”.

Hangouts with Kyle Price and Vincent Paz-Moreno — 9/21/23 – Tune in as Kyle and Vincent discuss Vincent’s dedication to advancing equitable representation, racial justice, and LGBTQIA+ visibility in the arts, entertainment, and advocacy sectors nationwide. They’ll also discuss Vincent’s position serving on the Board of Directors of Bisexual Resource Center, where he sets the course of the organization’s social responsibility as part of their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, & Belonging Committee, and leads projects and speaking engagements surrounding Bi+ Representation in Media.

Hangouts with Kyle Price and Mondaii — 9/5/23 – Tune in as Kyle and Mondaii discuss Mondaii’s journey to becoming a professional music artist, career milestones, and the unique and powerful ways he expresses himself through his music.

GLAAD Hangouts with Mike Brown and Dorian — 8/31/23 – with producer and host of The Art of Letting Go Podcast, Mike Brown (@theartoflettinggo), and special guest, singer, songwriter, actor, yoga teacher, and Certified Integrative Pharmacy Specialist Dorian. Tune in as Mike and Dorian discuss the importance of mental health awareness and Dorian’s experience and work as an artist, including his “balm for the soul” neo-soul music, which was created to empower the mind, body, and soul of himself and his listeners.

Hangouts Kyle Price and RK Jackson — 7/25/23 – Tune in as Kyle and RK discuss the experience of content creation for LGBTQ+ people of color and RK’s current role working as Senior Editorial Lead at Spill, where RK continues to activate and elevate around diverse communities of color with a focus on creating connective, inclusive, and equitable experiences that are reflective of the world around us.

GLAAD Hangout with Kayla Thompson and Whitney Skauge — 7/11/23 – Tune in as Kayla and Whitney discuss Whitney’s work as an artist, their dedication to media representation, and how their films act as an extension of social and political activism with the hope of helping audiences understand themselves and the world around them.

Hangouts Timothy S. Jackson and Zahara Bassett — 6/28/23 – Tune in as Julian, Keith, Timothy, and Zahara discuss mental health practices to support the work and the 40th Anniversary of the Denver Principles, a manifesto outlining and declaring the rights and responsibilities of healthcare professionals, people living with HIV/AIDS, and all those concerned about the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

GLAAD Hangouts with Ty Ballard and Ish Brown — 6/27/23 – Ty is with special guest, actor, filmmaker, and member of GLAAD’s inaugural Equity in Media and Entertainment Initiative (EMEI) Cohort, Ish Brown. Tune in as Ish and I discuss Ish’s experience breaking into the entertainment industry, his production company Ish Productions LLC, and his current project “Clique.”

Hangouts with Kyle Price, Mac Huffington and Eric Cox — 6/23/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Mac, and Eric discuss Mac and Eric’s respective career paths and work, experiences as LGBTQ+ advocates, and the 2023 Nashville Pride celebration.

GLAAD Hangouts with Mike Brown and serpentwithfeet — 6/22/23 – Tune in as Mike and serpentwithfeet discuss serpentwithfeet’s latest album, DEACON, which is “a study rather than a story,” delving into Black, gay love and the tenderness present in the best companionships, romantic or otherwise. They will also discuss his new content series, serpent’s Parlor, Black Music Month, Pride Month, and mental health awareness.

GLAAD Hangouts with Eshe Ukweli and Jazell Barbie Royale — 6/21/23 – Tune in as Eshe and Jazell discuss Jazell’s pageant and performing history and her experience showcasing her musical talents while competing for the “Queen of the Universe” title.

Hangouts with Elijah McKinnon and Dewayne Perkins — 6/15/23 – Tune in as Elijah and Dewayne discuss Dewayne’s partnership with Lionsgate on film THE BLACKENING, which will premiere at the Apollo Theater. THE BLACKENING, written by Dewayne, tells the story of a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer.

Hangouts with Kenneth Kyrell and Maria Van Cartier — 6/8/2023 – Honor of Black Music Appreciation Month + PRIDE hosted by Kenneth Kyrell and Maria Van Cartier. Watch as they explore the six annual MOBIfest ( powered by @gileadsciences ) featuring some of this year’s MOBIfest LIVE 2023 performers!

Hangouts with Milan Garçon andKristian Fanene Schmidt — 6/6/23 – Tune in as Milan and Krit discuss Krit’s work with PEAK, his writing, which covers everything from cultural appropriation and the impacts of colonization to Pacific Islander representation and LGBTQIA+ issues, and how he follows his passions for education, art, and advocacy in working towards equitable outcomes for people from communities that mirror his own identity and upbringing as a young, queer Samoan.

GLAAD Hangouts with Kristian Fanene Schmidt and Geena Rocero — 5/31/23 – Tune in as Krit and Geena discuss Geena’s work, her role directing and producing “Caretakers”, a four-part original documentary series featuring stories of Filipino American frontline healthcare workers, AAPI Heritage Month, how she founded Gender Proud, an award-winning media production company that tells stories about what it means to be trans and gender non-conforming, and her upcoming memoir “Horse Barbie.”

GLAAD Hangouts with Kristian Fanene Schmidt and Phylesha Brown-Acton — 5/30/23 – Tune in as Krit and Phylesha discuss Phylesha’s work with F’INE Pasifika Aotearoa Trust, her extensive governance and leadership experience, her role as the Co-Chairperson of the Asia Pacific Transgender Network (APTN), AAPI Heritage Month, and how she has rooted her work in advancing the voices, visibility, and rights of MVPFAFF+/Pacific LGBTQ Rainbow and Queer People and their families for over 25 years.

GLAAD Hangouts with Kristian Fanene Schmidt and Jaiyah Saelua — 5/23/23 – Tune in as Krit and Jaiyah discuss Jaiyah’s football journey, her experience as the first transgender person to play in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier, being featured on the cover of the FIFA 1904 magazine and in the 2014 documentary “Next Goal Wins,” and AAPI Heritage Month.

GLAAD Hangout with Kristain Fanene Schmidt and Taffy Johnson — 5/16/23 – Tune in as Krit and Taffy discuss Taffy’s work with UTOPIA Washington, her 10 years of experience working in the movement for LGBTQ rights and equality, and AAPI Heritage Month.

Hangouts with Jonathan Burke, Ahmad Maksoud, and Delius Doherty — 4/28/23 – Tune in as Jonathan, Ahmad, and Delius discuss Not Looking, the experience of co-writing, producing, and starring in the show, and National Arab American Heritage Month.

Hangouts with Kyle Price and The Kentucky Gentlemen — 4/27/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Brandon, and Derek discuss the brothers’ journey to careers in music, their experiences navigating the country music scene, and the duo’s sound, which draws inspiration from the 90’s country and R&B they favored during their childhood. They’ll also touch on how Brandon and Derek share their more serious personal experiences to promote authenticity, which they find just as important as showing their fun sides.

Hangouts with Ian L. Haddock and Jordan J. Edwards — 4/26/23 – A week of events curated and created with Black LGBTQIA+ people in mind. From Black queer people headlining a music festival to developing plans of action at a forum, Black Queer AF creates Black Pride in a tangible way in Houston, TX and beyond. Tune in as Ian discusses the festival with Jordan J. Edwards of The Normal Anomaly Initiative.

Hangouts with Milan Garcón and Sylver Star — 4/25/23 – Tune in as Milan and Sylver discuss Sylver’s creative makeup expressions, her social media portfolio, which places an emphasis on editorial makeup artistry and LGBTQ+ related media, their goal to challenge the binary of gender expression/beauty, and her advocacy work.

Hangouts Kayla Thompson and Sofía Aguilar — 4/18/23 – Kayla and Sofía discuss Sofía’s role as the Editor-in-Chief of Mag 20/20 (@magtwentytwenty), efforts to champion the rights and representations of marginalized communities in pop culture, media, and entertainment, and their written work, which has appeared in Los Angeles Times, Refinery29 Somos, and Them, among other publications.

GLAAD Hangouts with Kyle Price, Chastity Bowick and Martin Henson — 4/6/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Chastity, and Martin discuss Chastity and Martin’s respective and collective work, including Martin’s non-profit BMEN Foundation, Chastity’s role as a board member for Boston Women’s Fund and LGBTQ Senior Housing, and “Bridging the Gap: Black Straight Men and Trans Women of Color,” an ongoing series that highlights the connection and dialogue between Black men and trans women of color through dinner, conversation, and myth-busting.

Hangouts with Major and Kalvin Robinson — 4/4/23 – Tune in as Major and Kalvin discuss K-Co. Wellness, Kalvin’s experience advising political figures, business executives, and consumers in financial services, and the importance of financial literacy among Black LGBTQ people.

Hangouts with Richard A. Fowler, Eric K. Thomas and Jarrett Hill — 3/28/23 – Tune in as Richard, Eric, and Jarrett discuss the experience of working in media while Black and LGBTQ+, Eric and Jarrett’s culture changing work, and the top stories impacting Black LGBTQ+ people today.

Hangouts with Jabari Taylor and Omari Wiles — 3/23/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Jabari, and Omari discuss Jabari and Omari’s creative work, in filmmaking and dance respectively, and film Our Name Our Legacy, which premiered earlier this month at ALL ARTS’ Past, Present, Future Dance Film Festival. Our Name Our Legacy, directed and filmed by Jabari, tells the story of Omari’s journey from beginnings in West African dance to becoming one of the leading lights of today’s ballroom and contemporary dance scenes.

GLAAD Hangout with Raina Deerwater and Sarah Burke — 3/22/23 – Tune in as Raina and Sarah discuss Sarah’s work at Them, her experiences working to amplify queer stories and representation in media, GLAAD’s recent release of the latest “Where We Are on TV Report,” and GLAAD’s partnership with Them on ‘Queer on TV’ a special package covering LGBTQ storytelling on TV.

Hangouts with Eshe Ukweli and Jordyn Jay — 3/21/23 – Tune in as Eshe and Jordyn discuss Jordyn’s work with the BTFA Collective (@btfacollective), upcoming BTFA Collective programming, her belief in the power of art to inspire radical sociopolitical change (and her dedication to using that power for Black trans liberation), and Women’s History Month.

Hangouts with Ty Ballard and Nia Lee — 3/14/23 – Tune in as Ty and Nia discuss Women’s History Month, Nia’s cooking practice (which she’s termed “Black Food Futurism”), her method of blending traditional Afro Atlantic food lineage with imaginative art practices to create experimental and fresh new experiences with food, and Nia’s role as the founder of Storme Supper Club

Hangouts with Major and Ashton Pina — 3/8/23 – Tune in as Major and Ashton discuss Ashton’s filmmaking experience, his work supporting young LGBTQ filmmakers through the Queer Storytelling Project, and his award-winning first feature, “Nana’s Boys,” which was acquired by Breaking Glass Pictures.

Hangout with Kyle Price, Elijah McKinnon and McKensie Mack — 3/1/23 – Tune in as Kyle, Elijah, and McKensie discuss Elijah and McKensie’s respective work and the findings of their recent research project #LightsCameraHarm, an in-depth report that provides critical tools, practices, and recommendations to examine harm and seek repair in the film/TV industry.

GLADD Hangout with Richard Fowler and Clay Cane — 2/22/23 – Richard and Clay discuss Clay’s documentary “Holler If You Hear Me: Black and Gay in the Church,” book “Live Through This: Surviving the Intersections of Sexuality, God, and Race,” and his show on SiriusXM Urban View, ” The Clay Cane Show.”

GLAAD Hangout with Dwyane Williams and Jordan E. Cooper — 2/20/23 – Tune in as Dwyane and Jordan discuss Jordan’s experiences as the youngest Black American playwright in the history of Broadway as well as the youngest Black showrunner in television history. They’ll also touch on Jordan’s Obie award-winning play “Ain’t No Mo,” his co-creating, executive producing, and directing of Emmy-nominated “The Ms. Pat Show,” and his production company Cookout Entertainment.

GLAAD Hangout with Courtney Johnson and Timothy Tobias, MSW, CASAC-T — 2/15/23 – Tune in as Courtney and Timothy discuss Timothy’s work as a social worker and with Ballroom, We Care Inc., his approach to improving the quality of life for members of the HBC and other communities at large, and his experience with mpox.

GLAAD Hangout with Courtney Johnson and Juwan Wesley — 2/8/23 – Courtney and Juwan discuss Juwan’s work as an Admissions Director, his passion for painting, and his experience with mpox.

GLAAD Hangout with Major and Brad Bailey — 2/7/23 – Tune in as Major and Brad discuss Brad’s written and video experience interviewing underserved populations worldwide, the challenges of being a Black LGBTQ creative, oral history and its use as a filmmaking tool, and Marlon Riggs as inspiration for his filmmaking projects. The pair will also discuss Brad’s UC Berkeley thesis film “Hale,” about disability pioneer Hale Zukas, which won the Student Academy Award in Documentary, making Brad the first African American to win Gold in Documentary in the Academy’s 48 year history of those awards.

GLAAD Hangout with Kyle Price and Obio Jones — 2/2/23 – Kyle and Obio discuss the #GLAADFactsandVax campaign, why Obio felt motivated to join the campaign and talk about mpox, and how to keep the conversation going for folks to stay educated and engaged around mpox, even as cases in the U.S. decrease.

GLAAD Hangout with Courtney Johnson and Joey Brown, BSN, RN — 2/1/23 – Tune in as Courtney and Joey discuss Joey’s work, his experiences serving as a liaison between several health departments in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area helping to facilitate vaccinations during the COVID-19 and mpox outbreaks, and his plans to obtain a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in Family Care, to continue serving marginalized communities.

Hangouts with Eshe Ukweli and Lydia Collins — 1/24/23 – Tune in as Eshe and Lydia discuss how Lydia brings an accessible, anti-racist, and intersectional approach to sexual health education, how she aims to equip individuals with the necessary tools to make informed decisions about their bodies, and how those goals show up across her work.

GLAAD Hangout with Major and George M. Johnson — 1/17/23 – Tune in as Major and George discuss the success of All Boys Aren’t Blue (which is both a primer to teens eager to be allies as well as a reassuring testimony for young queer men of color), before turning to George’s work with their newest book, WE ARE NOT BROKEN, which celebrates Black boyhood and brotherhood in all its glory. In WE ARE NOT BROKEN, George M. Johnson captures the unique experience of growing up as a Black boy in America through rich family stories that explore themes of vulnerability, sacrifice, and culture.

GLAAD Hangout with Kyle Price and Migguel Anggelo — 1/9/23 – Tune in as Kyle and Migguel discuss Migguel’s work, which explores the intersections of his queer, Latino and immigrant identities using music, physical theater, dance, text and costume. They’ll also touch on the numerous residencies Migguel has been awarded as well as his upcoming performances of LatinXoxo at Under the Radar Festival 2023 at Joe’s Pub.
